100 Specialized Excellence Schools and Virtual Schools to open in Delhi

New Delhi| The Delhi government has set a budget estimate of Rs 69,000 crore for 2021-22. This is 6.15 percent higher than the budget estimate of Rs 65,000 crore for 2020-21. Presenting Delhi’s budget, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “The Delhi government’s education model is the foundation of the Kejriwal Model of Governance, which guarantees quality education to all children by continuously investing a quarter of its total budget on education.”

Manish Sisodia said that the education sector has been allocated a budget of Rs 16,377 crore in 2021-22. Delhi Government has proposed to start a new Sainik School and Delhi Armed Forces Primary Academy in Delhi. Along with their regular studies here, children will also be prepared for recruitment in NDA and Army.

The Deputy Chief Minister said, “The government has proposed to set up the Delhi Board of Secondary Education which will help children to develop their ability to understand their personality for board exams as well as competitive exams like IITs and AIIMS of our country. ”

100 Specialized Excellence Schools in Delhi will be opened in different parts of Delhi. The Delhi government has also decided to introduce a new category of schools in Delhi. The Virtual Delhi Model School will be a unique experiment for the regular teaching, learning and interaction of teachers and students on the principle of living anywhere, anytime learning, anytime testing.

According to the new education policy, the 4-year B.Ed. with a focus on teacher training at the undergraduate level. It is proposed to start the course. In order to improve the English conversational skills among the youth, the Directorate of Education has proposed a scheme for students who have completed schooling.

The government has created a sports university to streamline sports facilities and promote sports talent for world-class competitions. The government aims to produce international medal-winning champions in at least 10 sports fields.
