Action will be intensified against those who commit violence – Home Minister reviews security arrangements

New Delhi| The Home Ministry is in action mode on the violence during the tractor parade of farmers on Republic Day in Delhi on Tuesday. Home Minister Amit Shah once again took a high-level meeting on Wednesday, the next day of the incident, to review law and order in the capital. While the Home Minister gave instructions to increase the security of sensitive places, he asked for swift action against those involved in the violence. The high-level meeting, which began at 1 pm on Wednesday at the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah, lasted for more than an hour. Apart from the top officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB) was also involved. In this meeting, the top officials presented the details of the action taken since the violence on Republic Day till the Home Minister. The officers accused the agitating farmers of violating the conditions laid down for the parade.

According to sources, the meeting discussed the deployment of adequate security forces in the capital. Delhi Police Commissioner apprised the Home Minister of his preparations regarding the security system. The meeting decided that strict action should be taken against those who committed violence on a national festival like Republic Day in Delhi. So that no one dares to commit such violence in the future. Instructions have been issued to identify those involved in the violence through CCTV footage.
