Actress Taapsee Pannu reveals how a seven-minute role in ‘Baby’ changed her career

Mumbai, Jan 23 Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu recently recalled the pivotal moment in her career when a small but impactful role in the 2015 film ‘Baby’ helped shape her path in the industry.

On the occasion of the film completing 10 years, the actress shared that a 7-minute scene in the film was a turning point that left a lasting impact and shaped her career for the better.

Reflecting on her iconic seven-minute appearance, Taapsee shared, “Dear actors, the number of minutes doesn’t matter, what you do in those minutes, the impact you leave with it, matters. Seven minutes, which changed the course of my career forever. Yours truly, Naam Shabana.” After her stellar role as Shabana in “Baby”, Taapsee took the character to new heights in the 2017 release “Naam Shabana”, where her action-packed performance was highly praised.

The 37-year-old actress is also known for her roles in films like “Pink” with Amitabh Bachchan and “Mission Mangal” with Akshay Kumar.

Taapsee Pannu will next be seen in the upcoming action-thriller “Gandhari”, where she plays a mother on a mission to rescue her kidnapped child. For the role, the actress has also reportedly trained in aerial yoga and strength conditioning to perform the high-octane action sequences in the film.

Last month, Pannu had announced the start of the shooting of the film by sharing several photos. In the photo, she was seen posing with a clapboard along with the cast and crew.

She captioned the post, “Lord, accept my prayers so that I may never be distracted from doing good deeds. May I have no fear of the enemy when I go to war and with firm resolve I emerge victorious. May I teach my mind to sing only your praises and when the time comes, may I die fighting valiantly on the battlefield. Gandhari.”
