New Delhi, May 31. The first death from coronavirus has been confirmed in the national capital Delhi on Saturday. The 60-year-old deceased woman was already suffering from many diseases. An atmosphere of fear has been created among the people regarding coronavirus.

Corona cases are increasing in Delhi. But, the Health Ministry claims that it is fully prepared to face every kind of situation. The health system has been completely repaired.

There are 104 active cases of coronavirus in the capital. Of these, 99 cases have increased during the last one week.

According to the Union Health Ministry, Kerala has the highest number of active cases in the country. It is followed by Maharashtra and Delhi. The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Kerala is 430, Maharashtra 209 and Delhi 104. The national capital Delhi had 24 active cases till May 19. However, 99 more cases were reported in the same week, while 24 patients have recovered so far.

According to information on the Union Health Ministry website, active cases have increased in many states, including Kerala (+355), Maharashtra (+153) and Delhi (+24). Apart from this, deaths have also increased in some places, including Maharashtra (+4) and Karnataka (+1). However, no new cases or deaths have been reported in many states.

Apart from this, the highest number of patients have recovered from Covid-19 in Maharashtra. Maharashtra has the highest number of patients recovering from Corona at 8,29,849, Kerala at 6,84,927 and Andhra Pradesh at 2,32,635. Highest number of deaths (from the first wave of Corona till now): Maharashtra (1,48,606), Tamil Nadu (38,086) and Karnataka (40,412).

Let us tell you that after May 19, new cases of corona virus have been registered in many states of the country. These include patients in Andhra Pradesh (4), Chhattisgarh (1), Goa (1), Gujarat (76), Haryana (8), Karnataka (34), Madhya Pradesh (2), Rajasthan (11), Tamil Nadu (3) and Telangana (1).

Mumbai, May 30 . A total of 10,324 swab samples have been tested in Maharashtra since January 2025, out of which 681 samples have been found to be Kovid positive. Of these cases, 411 patients have come from Mumbai only.

According to official information, 84 new Kovid positive patients have been found in the state on Friday, including 32 from Mumbai, 16 from Thane, and the rest from other districts. Also, 207 patients have also recovered from Kovid infection on Friday.

The total number of active patients in the state at present is 467.

A total of seven deaths have been recorded from Kovid in the state since January 2025. Of these, six patients already had other serious diseases (comorbidities).

It is reported that one patient had hypocalcemic seizure and nephrotic syndrome. The second patient had cancer. The third patient had stroke (cerebrovascular disease) and seizures.

The fourth patient had diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI). The fifth patient had interstitial lung disease (ILD).

The sixth patient was diabetic and was paralyzed since 2014. The seventh patient was a 47-year-old woman who complained of fever and difficulty in breathing.

According to the health department, the number of Covid cases in the state is increasing from time to time, which is not limited to Maharashtra only, but similar situation is being seen in other states and some countries as well.

The government and the health department are appealing to the citizens to be cautious, wear masks and avoid crowded areas.

Noida, May 30 . Corona virus is once again gaining momentum in Uttar Pradesh. The number of active cases in the state has increased to 59. In Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) alone, 19 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases in the district to 43.

At the same time, two people have died of corona in the entire state so far. Long queues of people are once again being seen in the district hospitals of Noida for corona testing.

District Surveillance Officer Dr. Tikam Singh informed that all the patients are being treated in home isolation and the condition of no patient is critical.

He informed that samples of corona infected patients have been sought from private hospitals, whose genome sequencing will be done by sending them to Delhi or Lucknow, so that it can be known which variant is currently active. Patients will be re-examined after seven days.

Meanwhile, the administration has also become alert in Prayagraj. Corona sample testing is being started again in Motilal Nehru Medical College after about two and a half years. The microbiology department of the college has demanded RT-PCR test kits from the government.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting on May 22 in view of the cases of the new sub-variant JN.1 of Kovid-19. While reviewing the current situation of Corona in the state, he said that there is nothing to panic right now, but vigilance and caution are necessary in view of the global situation.

The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to keep health services on alert mode and be prepared for any emergency. In view of the increasing cases of corona in the state, the health department has become active again and people are being appealed to wear masks in crowded areas and get tested immediately if symptoms appear.

Los Angeles| In Los Angeles, California, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine was 73 percent effective in protecting children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years. These figures were announced by Pfizer. On June 17, the US Food and Drug Administration approved the vaccine for emergency use for children ages 6 months to 4 years.

Study participants received three doses of either the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine or a placebo.

Citing the results announced by the two companies, Xinhua news agency reported that the vaccine efficacy in children aged 6 months to 4 years in the first Kovid-19 infection was 73.2 percent.

New Delhi: India recorded 12,249 new Covid cases in a 24-hour period, up from the previous day’s tally of 9,923. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given this information on Wednesday. In the same period, the country reported 13 more Covid deaths, taking the death toll in the country to 5,24,903.

Meanwhile, the country’s active caseload rose to 81,687, which is 0.19 per cent of the total positive cases.

The total number rose to 4,27,25,055 after 9,862 patients were cured in the last 24 hours. As a result, India’s recovery rate is 98.60 percent.

Meanwhile, India’s daily positivity rate has also increased to 3.94 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2.90 per cent.

Also in the same period, a total of 3,10,623 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total number to over 85.88 crore.

As of Wednesday morning, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 196.45 crores, achieved through 2,54,02,207 sessions.

Over 3.58 crore adolescents have been given the first dose of the COVID-19 jab since the start of the vaccination campaign for this age group.

New Delhi: The first cases of ba.4 and ba.5 sub-variants of the Omicron strain of Kovid were found in Maharashtra on Saturday. The sub-variant has been found in at least 7 people from Pune.

New Delhi | 67,597 new corona cases were reported in India in 24 hours on Tuesday, which is 19 percent less than the 83,876 cases reported the previous day.

The Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday morning that a total of 1,188 people died in 24 hours, taking the death toll to 5,04,062.

There are 9,94,891 active cases of the corona. The overall positivity rate in the country is 2.35 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 1,80,456 patients were cured, taking the number of recoveries to 4,08,40,658. The recovery rate in India is 96.46 percent.

A total of 13,46,534 corona tests were conducted across the country. India has done more than 74.29 crore tests so far.

More than 55.78 lakh vaccine doses have been given to people in the last 24 hours. With this, India’s corona vaccination coverage has reached 170.21 crores till Tuesday morning.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of Tuesday morning, more than 11.81 crore corona vaccine doses are currently available with the states and union territories.

New Delhi| The cases of corona infection in Delhi seem to be decreasing continuously. According to the report released on Thursday, more than 2500 Kovid cases have been registered in Delhi in the last 24 hours, while 13 patients have also died. A total of 2668 cases of corona infection have been reported in Delhi, while after 13 deaths have been registered, this figure has reached a total of 25,932. Apart from this, 3895 patients have gone back to their homes after recovering from a corona infection in the last 24 hours.

According to the health bulletin, there has been a decline in new cases of corona in Delhi, the infection rate in the state is now 4.3%. On the other hand, if we talk about the data of the corona investigation, in the last 24 hours, 50536 RTPCR and other investigations have been done.

New Delhi: On the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister & completing one-year countrywide Vaccination Drive against COVID-19, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Vice Chairman, Shri Satish Upadhyay visited Corona Vaccination Centre at Atal Aadrash Vidhyalay, Moti Bagh, New Delhi to check the vaccination drive smoothly in teens having age group of 15-18 years.

Shri Upadhyay inspected personally and saw all the arrangements going on smoothly where teens are taking their first dose. While communicating with children, Shri Upadhyay emphasized habits like eating healthy foods, being active, and getting regular check-ups and said that vaccines are playing a vital role in keeping all of us healthy in the pendpandemicamic period.

Shri Upadhyay informed that as per the data received from Medical Services Department of NDMC presently, Seven (7) Covid Vaccination Centre, Two (2) Covid Testing Centre and Two (2) Covid Mobile Units are being run under NDMC area. Total 2,43,701 persons had been vaccinated in NDMC Centre whereas 3671 children’s had taken their first vaccination dose till today, he informed.  Shri Upadhyay said that vaccines are one of the safest and most convenient preventive care measures available during the pendapandemicmic and vaccines are not only safe but also an easy way to prevent disease / infection.

 Shri Upadhyay urged the parents to prepare their children for vaccination & motivate them and he said that COVID-19 vaccine will be very similar to the experience of getting routine vaccines. Shri Upadhyay said that getting a COVID-19 vaccine can help protect children from getting COVID-19 infection. He said vaccinated children can help protect their family members, including siblings who are not eligible for vaccination and family members who may be at increased risk of getting very sick, if they are infected.
