Ranchi, October 18 . Seat sharing has been done among the NDA constituents for the assembly elections in Jharkhand. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest on 68 seats in the state. AJSU Party (All Jharkhand Students Union) will contest on 10, Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) on two and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on one seat.

BJP and AJSU leaders announced seat sharing in a joint press conference held at Jharkhand BJP state office in Harmu, Ranchi on Friday.

According to the agreement, AJSU Party has been given the seats of Silli, Ramgarh, Gomia, Ichagarh, Mandu, Julsalai, Dumri, Pakur, Lohardaga and Manoharpur. Jamshedpur West and Tamar assembly seats have come in the share of Janata Dal United, while Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has been given Chatra Sadar assembly seat.

Assam Chief Minister and BJP Jharkhand election co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma, while addressing a press conference, said that the seat sharing has been announced after talks with all the parties. However, there is a possibility of change in one or two seats by mutual consent. He said that the NDA will enter the electoral fray with full strength. We are confident that we will form a majority government in the state.

BJP state president Babulal Marandi said that the people of the state are troubled by the current Hemant Soren government. He has not fulfilled a single promise made to the youth, women and backward classes of the state. CM Soren had said that if he could not provide government jobs to five lakh youth of the state, then he would retire from politics. Even after this, how will he ask for votes from the youth and the people of the state.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, AJSU Party President Sudesh Mahto and Chandraprakash Choudhary were also present in the press conference.

On this occasion, AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto said that he will work to alert the people about the current situation in Jharkhand. This election will be fought under the guidance of PM Modi. He expressed confidence that NDA government will be formed in the state.

Let us tell you that voting will be held in two phases for 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand. Voting will be held on 43 seats in the first phase on November 13 and on 38 seats in the second phase on November 20. While the election results will be declared on November 23.

Panchkula, October 13  BJP, which is going to form the government for the third consecutive time by winning 48 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections, has created history. Now the people of Haryana are going to get their Chief Minister. Nayab Saini will take oath as the next Chief Minister of the state on October 17. Many senior BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony. Preparations have started for this.

According to the information received, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at Sector-5 Shalimar Ground in Panchkula. Earlier the program was held at Sector-5 Parade Ground. But due to some reason the venue has been changed. Now it is being held at Sector-5 Shalimar Dussehra Ground in Panchkula. Senior officials of police and district administration arrived to inspect the Dussehra ground on Sunday. A grand stage is being prepared here for the swearing-in ceremony.

Naib Saini had recently said about his swearing-in ceremony, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm and zeal among the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party of Haryana state and two crore 80 lakh people of Haryana. BJP has come to power in the state for the third consecutive time with full majority. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got time for the swearing-in ceremony. Along with this, the top leadership of the party is also coming to the ceremony.

Let us tell you that in March this year, Naib Singh Saini was made the Chief Minister by the BJP in place of Manohar Lal. He will take oath as CM for the second time on October 17.

Voting for the assembly was held in Haryana on October 5 and counting of votes was done on October 8. BJP emerged as the largest party in the election results. It crossed the majority mark by winning 48 out of 90 seats. But, Congress blamed EVMs and the Election Commission for its defeat. Congress has also approached the Election Commission with 20 complaints.

New Delhi, October 13  Senior BJP leader and former Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij on Sunday met the party’s national president J.P. Nadda. Anil Vij has won the Ambala Cantt assembly seat for the seventh time. After this meeting, there has been a stir in the political circles of Haryana.

After waving the flag of victory for the third time in Haryana, the BJP has started the exercise to form the government. The top leadership has officially approved the name of Nayab Singh Saini for the post of Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremony of the new government will also be held soon.

Recently, Anil Vij had also claimed to become the Chief Minister, but later he backed down. He had said that if the top leadership will discuss about making him the Chief Minister, then he will definitely make Haryana the best state in the country.

Meanwhile, when he was asked whether he is in talks with anyone in this regard, he made it clear that there is no talk with anyone in this regard. Whatever decision is taken by the top leadership of the party, he will gladly accept it. He said, “Whatever responsibility is given to me by the top leadership, I will discharge it faithfully.”

In the recently held Haryana assembly elections, BJP has won for the third time. BJP proved all the exit polls wrong and won 48 out of 90 assembly seats in the state. BJP is going to form the government in the state for the third time. The special thing is that despite the anti-government wave, the party was successful in getting an absolute majority. Party workers are feeling excited by this.

New Delhi, October 13 . Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni has created a stir by giving a statement on the defeat of Congress in the Haryana assembly elections. Chaduni said, Congress lost the elections because of Bhupendra Singh Hooda. On this, senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that this statement of Gurnam Singh Chaduni has no meaning.

Rashid Alvi said in a conversation with IANS, “Neither Congress nor Hooda has lost the elections in Haryana. Congress has lost in Haryana because of the Election Commission and EVMs. I have been saying repeatedly that as long as EVMs exist, BJP will keep winning. The same thing has happened inside Haryana.”

The farmer leader has accused the Congress that farmers were not consulted during the elections. On this, Rashid Alvi said, “Congress has always stood with the farmers. If anyone has forgiven 70-72 thousand crores of farmers in the country, then it is the Congress party. No other party has done this. Therefore, it is not right to give such statements.”

The farmer leader has asked to give the command of Congress to Priyanka Gandhi. On this, Rashid Alvi said, “She is in the farmers’ organization, share your knowledge in your organization. What will happen in the Congress party, what will not happen. The Congress party will decide this. We are not saying who should be made the president in the farmers’ organization. It is not right to give statements at the behest of someone else.”

Reacting to the statement of Congress leader P Chidambaram, Rashid Alvi said that he is a senior leader of the Congress party. He should explain his views to the top leadership of the party. I think the leadership of the Congress party will definitely consider his views.

New Delhi, October 8 . With the announcement of election dates in Haryana, Congress started feeling that the party could return to power here this time and its 10-year political exile could end. But, the internal conflict within the Congress brought the party to a place which the party had not even imagined.

With a historic victory in Haryana, BJP returned to power for the third time. At the same time, the political exile of Congress increased for another 5 years.

In fact, from the announcement of elections to the distribution of tickets in Congress, so much internal conflict came to the fore and along with that the enthusiasm of the Congress workers who were out of power in the state for 10 years was so cold that the party had to face defeat here.

The party was already divided into three camps. Kumari Selja, known as the biggest Dalit face of the party, appeared angry over the party’s ticket distribution. Bhupendra Singh Hooda’s camp dominated the ticket distribution. Many former MLAs and leaders got angry and went to another party and there they also got a place in the election as candidates. On top of this, Kumari Selja also came late to campaign for the party.

Rahul Gandhi’s message of unity to the party workers by making Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja shake hands on the stage also proved futile. At the same time, apart from Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja and Randeep Singh Surjewala’s hinting of themselves as CM candidates also became a cause of trouble for the party.

On top of this, Congress geared up late for this election. Along with this, due to what happened within the party regarding Kumari Selja, the OBC and Dalit vote bank shifted from Congress and it went to BJP somewhere. Amidst all this, Congress, which was the architect of the Indy alliance against BJP during the Lok Sabha elections, backed out from taking its allies along in this election due to its over ambition. Congress felt that it would defeat BJP here alone. In such a situation, it decided to contest the elections alone.

At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party was demanding 10 seats from Congress for alliance. But, Congress was not ready to accept this. Along with this, Samajwadi Party also demanded seats from Congress. But, Congress did not break its silence on this too.

Actually, Congress did not do this only in Haryana. Before this, in the assembly elections of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh also, SP and AAP kept chasing Congress and till the end it did not get any answer from the party.

Even after SP asked this several times from different platforms in the Haryana assembly elections, Congress did not give any answer. At the same time, when Aam Aadmi Party realized that Congress is not agreeing to the alliance, AAP released the list of its candidates.

Earlier, SP in Madhya Pradesh and AAP in Chhattisgarh were forced to field their candidates due to lack of response from Congress. Wherever Congress saw hope for its party, it ignored the parties of ‘India’ alliance and even after this, defeat in all the three states did not leave Congress.

In such a situation, the effect of the election results from Haryana will be seen in the by-elections of UP as well. Here, Congress and Samajwadi Party, allies of India alliance, are analyzing these results in their own way. Now when Congress did not get anything in Haryana, in such a situation Congress is not in a position to bargain much with SP in UP.

Congress is demanding more seats in UP by-elections by counting the success of Lok Sabha elections. But, SP knows the ground reality and it has not forgotten its neglect in two states. In such a situation, what the parties of India alliance will do with Congress here, only time will tell.

Srinagar/Chandigarh, October 8  Counting of votes cast in September-October for the assembly in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir began at 8 am on Tuesday. Along with this, counting of votes has also started for the Haryana Assembly, where voting was held on October 5 for all 90 seats.

According to information received from Srinagar and Chandigarh, there is tight security around the counting centers. Also, adequate security measures have been taken at all sensitive places and generally in the whole of Jammu and Kashmir.

Assembly elections have been held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years. Voting for 90 assembly seats was held in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 1. Officials said that three-tier security arrangements have been made around all the counting centers. Apart from the staff involved in the counting, only authorized agents of the candidates are allowed to enter the counting center.

Overall 63.88 percent voting was held in 90 assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, a total of 67.90 percent voting took place in 90 seats of Haryana.

Officials said that the counting of postal ballots will be completed first. After this, the counting of votes recorded in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) will begin. It is estimated that the trends will start becoming clear by afternoon.

Assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir were announced on August 16. The election process is to be completed by October 10.

In the exit poll predictions, Congress is seen getting an absolute majority in Haryana while BJP seems to be missing out on a hattrick. At the same time, most exit polls in Jammu and Kashmir have said that the Congress-NC alliance will get an edge. Now everyone’s eyes are on how close the exit polls prove to be to the actual election results.

New Delhi, October 6. With the Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections over, exit poll estimates have come out. However, it is natural to question how much trust should be placed on these exit polls, especially when their estimates have proved wrong on many occasions in the last five years. Although exit poll agencies claim that they prepare their forecast based on the mood of the voters, but a closer look at the previous Lok Sabha and assembly elections reveals a different picture. Exit polls are often unable to predict the election results correctly, due to which questions are now being raised on their credibility. IANS has analyzed some of the previous exit polls. Let’s take a look at when the exit polls have proved wrong. 2014 Lok Sabha elections: In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won with a huge majority.

Many exit polls, including Axis My India and Chanakya, were unable to predict this. Although the exit polls had predicted that the NDA was coming to power, they failed to predict such a huge victory. On an average, eight exit polls had predicted 283 seats for the NDA and 105 seats for the UPA, while the results showed the NDA winning 336 seats. Whereas, the BJP got 282 seats, the UPA 60 and the Congress 44 seats. This shows that the exit polls could not predict the scale of victory. 2019 Lok Sabha Elections: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it was predicted that the NDA would get 306 seats and the UPA 120 seats. But, when the results came in reality, the exit polls proved wrong. The NDA got 353 seats and the BJP alone won 303 seats. The UPA got 93 seats and the Congress got only 52 seats. Once again, the exit polls failed to gauge the mood of the voters. Voters voted much more for the NDA than expected. 2024 Lok Sabha Elections: Most exit polls in this year’s Lok Sabha elections had predicted a landslide victory for the BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). It was also estimated that the BJP would win more seats than the majority figure on its own, with the NDA being projected to get 361 to 401 seats.

However, the exit poll results proved to be wrong. The NDA got 293 seats and the BJP got 240 seats. India Today-Axis My India had projected the NDA to get 361-401 seats. News 24-Today’s Chanakya had projected 400 seats for the NDA. ABP News-C Voter had projected 353-383 seats for the NDA, Republic Bharat-P Mark had projected 359 seats for the NDA. This was a big mistake in the exit poll predictions. Unlike 2014 and 2019, the BJP also failed to secure a majority on its own and its tally has dropped by 63 seats from 303 to 240 since 2019. Exit poll predictions have proved wrong not only in the Lok Sabha elections but also in many assembly elections. In the 2019 Haryana assembly elections, exit polls had predicted that the BJP would get 61 seats while some exit polls had also predicted 75-80 seats. However, the results were completely different from the exit polls. The BJP won 40 seats. At the same time, the Congress managed to win 31 seats. Which was contrary to the exit poll’s estimate of a clear majority for the BJP.

C Voter had also predicted the BJP to win 72 seats, which proved to be wrong. Similarly, in the 2023 Chhattisgarh assembly elections, exit polls predicted a tough fight between the Congress and the BJP. The exit polls had claimed that the Congress would form the government in the state again. But when the election results came, the BJP returned to power. Once again the exit polls proved completely wrong. The BJP formed the government by winning 54 out of 90 assembly seats. The BJP was predicted to get a majority in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, in which the party was estimated to get 140 to 162 seats. The BJP formed the government for the fifth consecutive time in the state by winning 163 out of 230 assembly seats. In the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections, many exit polls had predicted that the BJP would win more seats out of 294 assembly seats. But the Trinamool Congress performed brilliantly in the elections and formed the government for the third consecutive time by winning 215 seats. At the same time, the BJP won only 77 seats.

Nuh, 3 October  Election campaigning for 90 assembly seats in Haryana came to an end on Thursday. In different assembly constituencies of Haryana, the bigwigs of BJP-Congress-AAP and other regional parties put in their full strength. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also reached Nuh in Haryana on the last day to hold an election rally in support of the Congress candidate.

A large number of people had reached here to listen to Rahul Gandhi. Rahul said something in his address that reminded people of the Lok Sabha elections.

In fact, Rahul Gandhi said that after the formation of Congress government in Haryana, under the Mahila Shakti Yojana, two thousand rupees will be deposited in the accounts of women every month in a jiffy. A similar style of Rahul was also seen during the Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi said, after the formation of Congress government in Haryana, a gas cylinder worth Rs. 1200 will be provided for Rs. 500. 700 rupees will be deposited in your account immediately. Under the Social Security Scheme, the old pension scheme will be re-implemented. Two lakh government jobs will be given to the youth here. There will be no discrimination against any religion in the job.

Rahul Gandhi posted on the social media platform. He wrote, BJP is trying to destroy the Constitution and Congress is fighting to protect this protective shield of your rights.

By supporting the Congress, you also have to become the protector of the Constitution, together we have to become a means to provide freedom to the institutions and media of the country, security to women, employment to the youth, prosperity to the farmers and justice to the poor and the deprived. We will not let this precious heritage of Mahatma Gandhi and Babasaheb come to any harm.

Rahul further wrote, my Babbar Sher workers, the Tigers of Congress are not afraid of anyone. No matter who abuses, hits with sticks, it does not matter. Together we will keep raising the voice of Hindustan, we will keep opening the shop of love in every corner.
