The finale began with the cultural ramp walk of the top-40 contestants. The top-40 walked the ramp in designer Archana Kochhar’s traditional dresses. During this, India’s Nandini Gupta was the show-stopper. After this, the top-20 was announced, in which Nandini also managed to reach. However, she had to be out of the top-8 race and India’s hopes suffered a major setback.

Thailand, Philippines, Poland, Ukraine, Namibia, Ethiopia, Brazil and Martinique reached the top-8 of the Miss World competition. After this, Opal Suchata of Thailand, Haset Derez of Ethiopia, Aurelie Jo of Martinique and Maja Klazda of Poland made it to the top-4.

New Delhi, May 31. In a program organized on Saturday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi to mark the completion of 100 days of the BJP government, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that Operation Sindoor is our victory against terrorists. She said that this is a new India, which will no longer tolerate the actions of terrorists. Now every answer will be accurate, and every attack will be decisive.

In this program, CM Rekha Gupta answered many questions of eminent actor and speaker Anupam Kher on the completion of 100 days of the government. During this, the Chief Minister also recited a poem on Operation Sindoor. The poem was something like this- “In silence, I am patience, in challenge, I am bravery, I am sindoor. I am the killing of terrorists, I am the border of courage. I am the life-giver, I am the witness of destruction, I am sindoor. I am a strong attack on the enemy who shot me thinking I was weak. I am the gift of every daughter and daughter-in-law. I am India’s yesterday and today, I am the pride of Hindustan, I am sindoor.” During the program, film actor Anupam Kher asked Rekha Gupta, “I want to know how you spent the last 10 years in Delhi before the BJP government came to power in Delhi.” In response to the question, Rekha Gupta said that when we saw that injustice was being done to the people of Delhi, when corruption was being exposed every day, when liquor shops were opening in every street. We were in the middle of that struggle. Sometimes we used to protest at the Secretariat, sometimes we were protesting at Kejriwal’s residence. In the last elections, when we used to lose by some margin, we used to stay among the people. We worked as public representatives for 10 years. Overall, Delhi lagged behind in these 10 years, but wherever we could set things right, we stayed among the people and worked for them.”

In response to a question by Kher to the CM, why should the people of Delhi trust you, Rekha Gupta said that a movement started from Ramlila Maidan, then thousands and lakhs of people joined. Everyone supported that group, so that something better happens in the country. Those people who used to say that we are not greedy for power, became greedy for power. They do not see anything else except power. When they got power in one state, they moved towards another state. In the last 10 years, the trust of the people of Delhi broke. Therefore, the people of Delhi have expressed their trust in the new government. The people of Delhi are seeing that my entire cabinet with me is continuously working on the road among the people.

She said that garbage is no longer a political issue, but it is our responsibility towards the solution. Our government is working with full commitment to make Delhi a clean, healthy and dignified capital.

Regarding Yamuna cleaning, Rekha Gupta said that the former The government of Delhi got 10 years. The previous governments also had enough time. But, no one took initiative to clean the Yamuna. Because, no one had the intention to clean the Yamuna. Our government decided in the first 100 days that we have to clean the Yamuna in a phased manner.

Making Delhi e-waste free is not only protecting the environment, but it is our responsibility towards the coming generations. The government is moving ahead with a solid policy and long-term solution regarding e-waste management. This is our path of service and resolution.

Bhopal, May 31 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that sindoor is a symbol of women’s power in our tradition, Ram devotee Hanuman also wears sindoor. It is a symbol of our valor. While addressing women in the Mahila Empowerment Maha Sammelan organized at Jamburi Maidan in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the Pahalgam attack.

PM Modi said, “In Pahalgam, the terrorists have not only shed Indian blood, they have also attacked our culture. They tried to divide our society. The terrorists have challenged the power of the Indian women, this challenge has become fatal for the terrorists and their masters. Operation Sindoor is the biggest and most successful operation in the history of India against terrorism. Our army destroyed the hideouts of the terrorists, destroyed them by entering hundreds of kilometers away. Operation Sindoor has clearly stated that proxy war through terrorism will not work. Now we will kill even by entering the house and whoever helps terrorism will also have to pay a heavy price for it.” PM Modi further said, “140 crore people of the country are saying that if you fire a bullet, you will be answered with a shell. Operation Sindoor has been a symbol of support for our Nari Shakti. India is a country of culture and values. Sindoor is a symbol of Nari Shakti in our tradition, Hanuman Ji, painted in the color of Ram Bhakti, is also wearing Sindoor. We offer Sindoor in Shakti Puja and this same Sindoor has now become a symbol of India’s bravery.”

Remembering Devi Ahilya Bai, Prime Minister Modi said, it is my good fortune that the Kashi in which Lokmata Ahilya Bai did so much work of development, that Kashi has also given me the opportunity to serve. Today, if you go to Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev, you will also find the statue of Devi Ahilya Bai there. Devi Ahilya Bai was a great protector of India’s heritage. When the country’s culture, our temples, our pilgrimage sites were being attacked, then Lokmata took the initiative to protect them. She rebuilt many of our temples and pilgrimage sites across the country, including Kashi Vishwanath.”

Recalling the works of Ahilyabai, Prime Minister Modi said, “On hearing the name of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a feeling of reverence wells up in the mind. Words fall short to describe her great personality. Devi Ahilyabai is a symbol that when there is willpower, strong resolve, then no matter how adverse the circumstances are, results can be achieved. 250-300 years ago, when the country was in the shackles of slavery, doing such great work that many generations to come would talk about it, is easy to say, but not easy to do. Ahilyabai never considered service to God and service to the people as separate. It is said that she always carried a Shivling with her.”

New Delhi, May 31 India’s foreign exchange reserves recorded a spectacular rise of $6.99 billion to $692.72 billion during the week ended May 23, according to the latest weekly data from the RBI.

According to the data, foreign currency assets, a major component of the foreign exchange reserves, rose by $4.52 billion to $586.17 billion.

According to RBI data, the value of the gold reserves component also increased tremendously during the week, rising by $2.37 billion to $83.58 billion.

Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) rose by $81 million to $18.571 billion.

According to the data, India’s reserve position with the IMF rose by $30 million to $4.401 billion during the week.

The country’s foreign exchange reserves fell by $4.89 billion to $685.73 billion in the previous week ended May 16.

However, in the week ended May 9, the foreign exchange reserves had increased by $4.5 billion to $690.62 billion.

Any strengthening of the country’s foreign exchange reserves strengthens the rupee against the US dollar.

An increase in foreign exchange reserves reflects the strong fundamentals of the economy and gives the RBI more scope to stabilize the rupee when it becomes volatile.

Strong foreign exchange reserves enable the RBI to intervene in the spot and forward currency markets by issuing more dollars to prevent the rupee from falling.

Conversely, falling foreign exchange reserves give the RBI less room to intervene in the market to support the rupee.

Meanwhile, India’s external sector has emerged stronger, according to commerce ministry data. Total exports of goods and services recorded a robust growth of 12.7 per cent to $73.8 billion in April, as against $65.48 billion in the same month last year.

The country’s merchandise exports grew 9.03 per cent to $38.49 billion in the month, with high-value electronics and engineering goods recording the highest growth, reflecting the country’s growing manufacturing base.

Exports of electronic goods rose 39.51 per cent to $3.69 billion in April from $2.65 billion in the same month last year.

Exports of engineering goods rose 11.28 per cent to $9.51 billion in the month, as against $8.55 billion in April last year.

Jewellery exports rose 10.74 per cent to $2.5 billion from $2.26 billion.

Moscow, May 30  Russia on Friday rejected “fake news” claiming that it was increasing economic ties with Pakistan, especially by setting up a steel mill in Karachi.

In fact, recently there was news in the Pakistani media that Moscow and Islamabad are working together to increase industrial cooperation. Under this, new steel mills will be set up in Pakistan, so that cooperation like the 1970s can be revived, when the Soviet Union designed and financed Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM).

According to Pakistani media, a meeting was held in Islamabad on May 13 between Pakistan Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan and Moscow’s representative Denis Nazarof to consider this.

Regarding this meeting, the Express Tribune reported that the two officials held extensive discussions on the possibilities of cooperation and agreed to form a joint working group to set up a steel mill in Karachi.

During the talks, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that Pakistan is a safe and prosperous center for investment. Along with this, he claimed that the international community has recognized its potential.

These reports raised concerns and doubts, as Pakistan’s economy is dependent on relief packages provided by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Sources in Moscow acknowledged the talks on the issue, but condemned reports that claimed that ‘contracts worth billions of dollars’ have been signed between the two countries.

He said that through the “fake and fabricated” report, Pakistan has made another unsuccessful attempt to harm the India-Russia special and privileged strategic partnership, which has been strengthened during ‘Operation Sindoor’ earlier this month targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

When asked about the Pakistani media reports, a senior Russian government official on Friday said that it is an exaggerated news being spread by someone for sensational reasons to spoil Russia-India relations.

Uttarakhand, May 30 . Three accused involved in the Ankita Bhandari murder case of Uttarakhand were convicted on Friday and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The sentence was announced by the Additional District and Sessions Court in Kotdwar. Pulkit Arya, his employee Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta involved in this murder have been convicted under 302, 201, 354.

The court framed charges against the main accused Pulkit Arya involved in the murder under 302, 201, 354A and Immoral Trafficking Act. At the same time, Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta were convicted under IPC sections 302, 201 and Immoral Trafficking Act.

The entire case was heard for two years and eight months. During this time a total of 47 witnesses were presented in the court. The hearing of this entire case was completed on 19 May, after which the court had fixed May 30 as the date for pronouncing the sentence.

Due to the poor financial condition of the house, Ankita Bhandari started working as a receptionist. But, it was not even 20 days since she joined the job that she disappeared. After this, Ankita’s father went to Pauri, Munikireti and Rishikesh to register a missing person’s case. But, no one listened to him. After this, when the pressure increased in this case, it was handed over to the police. After this, the police arrested Pulkit Arya and his two other companions Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta.

After this, on 24 September 2022, Ankita Bhandari’s body was recovered from the Cheela river. This murder had agitated the people of Uttarakhand. People took to the streets and demanded strict action against the accused involved in this murder. People also expressed their anger by accusing the police administration of adopting a lax attitude in this matter.

Karakat, May 30  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Karakat, Bihar on Friday, gave a stern warning to the terrorists and said that I want to tell from the land of Bihar that the whole world has seen India’s strength against enemies through Operation Sindoor. But, the enemies should understand that this is just one arrow in our quiver. India’s fight against terrorism has neither stopped nor halted. If terror raises its head again, India will pull it out of its hole and crush it.

PM Modi said that our fight is with every enemy of the country. Whether it is across the border or within the country. In the past years, we have eliminated those who spread violence and unrest. When I came to Bihar after the Pahalgam terror attack, I had said that terrorists will be punished beyond their imagination. Today, when I have come to Bihar, I have fulfilled my promise. Those who had ruined the sindoor of our sisters while sitting in Pakistan. Our army has turned their hideouts into ruins. What is the power of India’s daughters? Pakistan has seen this, the world has also seen this. The terrorists considered themselves safe under the shelter of the Pakistani army. Our army brought them to their knees in one stroke. Pakistan’s air bases, military bases were destroyed in a few minutes. This is the new India and this is its strength.

PM Modi said that Bihar is the land of Veer Kunwar Singh. Thousands of youth from here sacrifice their youth in the army for the security of the country. Under Operation Sindoor, the world has seen the unprecedented valor and indomitable courage of our BSF. The BSF soldiers deployed in our border are an impenetrable rock of security. The protection of Mother India is paramount for our BSF soldiers. BSF Sub Inspector Imtiaz was martyred on May 10 while performing the sacred duty of serving the motherland. I pay my respectful tribute to him.

PM Modi further said that till a few years ago, Naxalism was dominant in Sasaram, Kaimur and surrounding districts of Bihar. Everyone was afraid of when and where the Naxalites would come out on the streets with their masks on their faces and guns in their hands. Government schemes used to come but they did not reach the citizens. There were no hospitals, mobile towers, schools in the Naxal-affected areas. People who built roads here were killed. These people did not believe in Babasaheb Ambedkar’s constitution. But, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tried his best to bring development in such circumstances.

After 2014, we worked rapidly in this direction. We punished the Maoists for their deeds. We brought the youth into the mainstream of development. The country has now started getting the fruits of the 11-year pledge. The PM further said that before 2014, more than 125 districts in the country were Naxal-affected. Now only 18 districts are left Naxal-affected. The day is not far when Maoist violence will be completely eradicated. Peace, security, education will be delivered to every village without any hindrance. When the Jungle Raj government was removed from Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, Bihar also progressed. Broken roads, highways, bad railways in Bihar are now just history.

Earlier, PM Modi reached the stage riding on an open vehicle, passing through the people. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary were also present on the vehicle. During this, flowers kept raining on PM Modi and the people present kept raising slogans of ‘Modi Zindabad’ and ‘Operation Sindoor’. PM Modi also kept greeting the people by waving his hand. During this, tight security arrangements were made.

Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Phase-II (3×800 MW) costing over Rs 29,930 crore in Aurangabad district, boosting power infrastructure in the region. The scheme aims to ensure energy security for Bihar and eastern India.

Gangtok, May 29 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually launched several development projects in Sikkim. Although he had left for Sikkim to attend the program, but due to bad weather the Prime Minister could not reach Gangtok. Despite this, a large number of people were present in this program and expressed happiness over the gift given to Sikkim.

Speaking to IANS on Prime Minister Modi’s virtual participation in the ‘Sikkim at 50’ program, former MLA Nar Bahadur Khatiwada said, “PM Modi could not come here in person, but whatever he said in his speech for the people of Sikkim came from the heart. We are very happy. I hope that PM Modi will also pay attention to the demands of the people of Sikkim. I have been in BJP for the last 14 years and am still working for the party.” Speaking to IANS on PM Narendra Modi’s virtual participation in the ‘Sikkim at 50’ event, a student said, “I came here to see our PM, but unfortunately he was not present here. However, he connected with the people present here virtually, which made us very happy. We are excited to hear about the new tourism infrastructure he is going to build in Sikkim. Tourism is the main industry of Sikkim and it provides employment and business opportunities to the stakeholders as well as other workers across the state.”

At the same time, another person said, “I would like to thank the organizers for organizing such a wonderful event. It is sad that the Prime Minister could not be among us due to the weather. The part of his speech that I liked the most was that he put forward his ideas on the plans to promote tourism in Sikkim. It was good that he also talked about cultural tourism.” He said, “The Prime Minister talked about the cultural economy and the music economy. I really liked that part, and I really want the Government of India to work in this direction as well. I liked it when he talked about improving sports facilities in our region, in our state, and assured that he will definitely visit us in the coming months.”

The Prime Minister was scheduled to land at Libing helipad at around 9:45 am to participate in the 50th State Day celebrations. However, due to bad weather and incessant rain in Gangtok early in the morning, his helicopter could not take off and he later had to cancel the visit.
