After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, India attacked nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). During this, no military and civilian bases were targeted in India.

At the same time, Pakistan tried to target military establishments and civilian infrastructure by attacking several places in India with drones and missiles on Thursday. In India’s retaliatory action, Pakistan’s air defence system in Lahore was destroyed and many radar bases were disabled.

In ‘Operation Sindoor’, India-made ‘looting munitions’ drones were used in war for the first time. These suicide drones carried out simultaneous attacks in many sectors. Defence sources said that along with this, Harop drones have also wreaked havoc on Pakistan. These drones, originally from Israel, are now made in India. These drones targeted the enemy’s air defence in Karachi and Lahore. The Indian armed forces showed valour and bravery and destroyed Pakistan’s radars, drones, fighter aircraft and security systems.

Meanwhile, on Friday, many former military officers also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this meeting, the former military officers congratulated the army and the government and said that they would give their best possible contribution. Srinagar, May 9  The security situation on the India-Pakistan border and LoC seems to be deteriorating. Loud explosions took place in many cities of Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan on Friday night. In view of this, a blackout was imposed in the cities and war sirens were sounded. People were appealed not to go out and stay in safe places.

It is being told that there have been drone attacks from Pakistan in Jammu, Naushera, Samba, Uri, Pokhran in Rajasthan and Pathankot in Punjab, which have been destroyed by the Indian Army. According to the information, drone attacks were carried out on Jammu airport for 12 minutes, but the security forces foiled it.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah informed through the social media platform ‘X’ late Friday night that there has been a blackout in the city and the sounds of sirens are being heard everywhere.

He said that from the place where he is, loud sounds of explosions, possibly heavy shelling, are being heard continuously.

In view of this sensitive situation, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people not to come out on the streets and stay safe where they are. He has especially advised the people of Jammu and its surrounding areas to stay at home or in a safe place for the next few hours.

Omar Abdullah has also urged to avoid rumors and not to share unverified information on social media or other means. He expressed confidence that we all will face this situation together and come out of it.

Apart from this, shelling is also taking place in many sectors, to which the Indian Army is retaliating. Earlier on Thursday night also, Pakistan, in a cowardly act, tried to attack several cities of India with drones, which was foiled by the Indian Armed Forces and Pakistan retaliated.

New Delhi, May 9. The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Pakistan tried to infiltrate and carry out heavy firing on the LoC, in response to which India has taken precise action with restraint. In a press briefing organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Colonel Sophia Qureshi informed that Pakistan tried to target 36 places in border areas like Tangdhar, Uri and Udhampur. Pakistan attacked with about 300 to 400 drones.

He said that initial investigation has also revealed that drones manufactured in Turkey were used in this attack. The Indian Air Force retaliated immediately and completely destroyed Pakistan’s surveillance radar system in a drone counter attack.

Colonel Qureshi clarified that in this operation, the Indian Army exercised extreme restraint and took special care to ensure that there was no harm to the common citizens. He said that instead of closing its airspace, Pakistan carried out military attacks under the cover of civilian aircraft, which is against international security standards.

During the briefing, it was told that at the time of the attack, passenger planes were flying in big cities like Karachi and Lahore, which endangered many innocent lives.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri termed this action of Pakistan as a “provocative military strategy” and said that the shelling in Tangdhar, Uri, Poonch, Rajouri, Akhnoor and Udhampur caused some damage to the Indian security forces, but Pakistan has suffered heavy military losses in India’s retaliation.

He also said that keeping its airspace open despite Pakistan’s failed attempts of drone attacks is not only irresponsible but also a serious threat to the safety of international flights. He accused Pakistan of using civilian aircraft as a military shield and called it a violation of international rules.

He said the aim of Pakistan’s attack was to collect information about the Indian defence system, which was foiled.

New Delhi, May 9. In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, the Indian Army destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK through ‘Operation Sindoor’.

After this action of the Indian Armed Forces, Pakistan, which got furious, tried to attack the LoC and border areas with missiles, drones and other weapons on Thursday night. But, the Indian forces completely foiled all the air attacks of Pakistan. Not a single missile of theirs fell in Indian territory.

A few days ago, through ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Indian Armed Forces carried out targeted and precise attacks on the main terrorist bases across the border and destroyed them efficiently.

This operation has given a clear message to the world that India is not only securing its skies, but also has the ability to retaliate by entering the enemy’s airspace with precision.

The credit for the improvement in India’s air defence systems goes to the Narendra Modi government, which maintained its focus on revamping the security apparatus by clearing dwindling war stocks and adding new, world-class arsenal to the fleet.

The Russian S-400 missile system and Rafale jets have proved to be very important for India in thwarting Pakistan’s air attack. Interestingly, the Russian S-400 missile system and Rafale jets became part of India’s defence system under the NDA government.

The swift, coordinated response shown by the armed forces was due to their air defence systems, which were painstakingly built over the last 11 years under the Modi government.

The unmanned aerial system (UAS) grid, Triumph air defence system, Barak-8 missile, surface-to-air missile and DRDO’s anti-drone technologies together created an air shield that thwarted all attempts by Pakistan to attack military installations in India.

When India attacked terror camps in Pakistan and PoK under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Indian Army destroyed the Chinese-supplied HQ-9 air defence system in Lahore and also damaged key radar infrastructure.

In fact, since 2014, the government led by Prime Minister Modi has systematically upgraded India’s air defence systems and made significant defence acquisitions. A Rs 35,000 crore deal for five S-400 Triumph squadrons was signed in 2018. Three squadrons are now deployed along the borders with China and Pakistan.

In 2017, India received Barak-8 medium-range surface-to-air missiles (MR-SAMs) under a $2.5 billion deal with Israel. They are now guarding frontline bases like Bathinda.

The induction of indigenous Akash missile batteries and the DRDO-developed counter-drone system added more ammunition. At the same time, Man Portable Counter Drone Systems (MPCDS) were installed by the Army in 2024 to jam and disable hostile UAVs.

Suicide drones were ordered in 2021 and are now being manufactured in India. These drones carried out simultaneous, precise attacks in various sectors, causing a complete failure of Pakistan’s security.

Additionally, Israeli-origin Harop drones, now locally manufactured, were deployed to target and destroy air defense assets in Karachi and Lahore.

These platforms, together with the strategic deployment of Rafale fighter jets equipped with Scalp and Hammer missiles, demonstrated India’s ability to project power with surgical precision.

‘Operation Sindoor’ has sent a clear message to the world that India is not only capable of protecting its skies, but now it also controls them.

New Delhi, May 8. Blackout was imposed in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan on Thursday night. Along with this, sirens also started sounding. During this, the administration has appealed to the people to stay indoors and remain alert.

It is noteworthy that during the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, India destroyed many rockets from Pakistan on Thursday morning. Pakistan had tried to target 15 cities of India, but the Indian Army foiled all the attacks.

Army officer Colonel Qureshi and Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said that Pakistan tried to attack many military bases of India with the help of drones and missiles on the night of 7-8 May. The cities which were targeted include Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai and Bhuj. However, India’s integrated counter-UAS grid and strong air defense systems completely foiled these attacks. The debris recovered at various locations made it clear that these attacks were carried out from Pakistani territory.

Officials said that the Indian armed forces retaliated on Thursday and successfully targeted air defense radars and systems located at several places in Pakistan. An air defense system has been destroyed in Lahore.

They said that the Pakistani army carried out unprovoked and provocative shelling in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, using mortars and heavy artillery. A total of 16 innocent civilians, including three women and five children, have died in this violent action. The Indian Army has given an appropriate and balanced response to this unprovoked firing.

Earlier, India had carried out air strikes on nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It is being said that about 100 terrorists were killed in these attacks.

New Delhi, May 8  Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday gave a clear message to Pakistan, saying that no one should take undue advantage of our patience. Otherwise, it will have to be fully prepared to face our quality action.

Addressing the ‘National Quality Conference – 2025’ at DRDO Bhawan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that we have always played the role of a responsible nation with great restraint. We have consistently been in favour of resolving problems through dialogue. This does not mean that anyone should take undue advantage of our patience. If, somewhere, someone tries to take advantage of our patience, then, like yesterday, he will have to be fully prepared to face ‘quality action’.

He warned Pakistan and said that no limit will become an obstacle for us in protecting India’s sovereignty, I assure the countrymen of this. We are fully prepared for such responsible responses in the future as well and if we remain prepared, then you have a very big role in it. This expansion of India’s defense industrial world is providing an unprecedented strength to India.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while addressing the ‘National Quality Conference- 2025’ at DRDO Bhawan, said, “The way our security forces have destroyed terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK is a matter of pride for all of us. What is the role of quality, what role it plays, we saw a sample of this yesterday. The accuracy with which Operation ‘Sindoor’ was carried out is unimaginable and commendable. In this, 9 terrorist hideouts were destroyed and a large number of terrorists were killed. The way this operation was carried out without harming innocent people, it has been possible because our forces had weapons of the best quality.” He further said, “We have to make the Indian defence industry a strong and credible brand. Today I have come to make an important appeal to you. This appeal is to create a strong, world leading and cutting edge ‘Brand India’, so that when countries have doubts about products in the world’s defence market, they choose ‘Brand India’. Whenever in doubt, choose India, this should be our USP.”

New Delhi, May 8  India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Thursday exposed the truth of Pakistan to the world. He said that Pakistan’s Defense Minister and former Foreign Minister have openly admitted that they have had links with terrorist groups.

He said that Pakistan is known as a stronghold of terrorism and it has been proved that Pakistan supports terrorist groups and never takes any concrete action against them.

On Pakistan’s allegations, the Foreign Secretary said that we have not taken any provocative action. The action we have taken was a response to the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam and we only targeted terrorist hideouts.

In response to Pakistan’s demand to form an international committee to investigate the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Foreign Secretary said that India has already given evidence of many terrorist attacks to Pakistan, but it did not cooperate in investigating any attack.

He cited the Pathankot attack as an example, where India had handed over concrete evidence to Pakistan about the presence of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, but Pakistan always defended the terrorists.

Pakistan alleged that India targeted religious places, but Vikram Misri rejected it and said that India has only targeted terrorist hideouts. He said that rather Pakistan has targeted gurdwaras on the LoC.

Along with this, Misri told that when it came to including the name of ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) in the United Nations Security Council, only Pakistan opposed it and got its name removed. This is a clear indication that Pakistan is still supporting and sheltering these terrorist groups.

Let us tell you that on Wednesday night, Pakistan tried to attack many areas of northern and western India with drones and missiles. The aim of these attacks was to target Indian cities, but India foiled these attacks.
