Corona cases started increasing again in 8 states

New Delhi | On Saturday, the Union Health Ministry said, “Eight states of the country have been witnessing a spurt in new cases of corona for the past three weeks.” These states are Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka and Haryana.

According to data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra recorded 15,817 new cases in the last 24 hours. Punjab reported 1,408. Karnataka logged 833. Gujarat reported 715 cases, Tamil Nadu 670 cases, Madhya Pradesh 603 cases, Delhi 431 cases and Haryana 385 cases.

Meanwhile, India’s total active cases stood at 2.02 lakh as of Saturday, of which Maharashtra alone accounted for 63.57 percent.

Apart from this, the ministry also said, “Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh reported 87.72 percent new cases in the last 24 hours.”

In Kerala, 1,780 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Record cases of Corona came to light on Saturday in India. Which are the highest in this year. On Friday, 24,882 cases were reported and 140 deaths occurred.

With this, the total number of cases has reached 1,13,33,728, while 1,58,446 people have died.

The transition level in the country was back in December. It had risen from 1.55 to 1.78 percent within a week.
