Farmers sitting on the highway carrying the KMP highway closed, trolleys, mattresses and cots

Sonepat| Today is the 135th day for farmers protesting against the agricultural law on the borders of Delhi. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has called for the closure of the KMP highway, on the same lines, farmers from the Singhu border have closed the number 1 Kundali toll plaza (Western Peripheral Expressway) Sonipat. The Kisan Morcha has closed the KMP highway for 24 hours to intensify the movement. At the same time, the farmers have installed trolleys on the highway itself, as well as a platform on the toll plaza, from where the farmers are also giving speeches.

More than 500 farmers also observed a 2-minute silence on the death of a farmer on the ticker border during the highway bandh and shouted slogans of ‘Shaheed Kisan Amar Rahe’.

Farmers are engaged in giving a strong edge to the movement going on on the borders of Delhi, that is why farmers are constantly preparing new designs.

In fact, farmers have been protesting against the three newly enacted farm laws since November 26 last year on various boundaries of the national capital.

Farmers are opposing the Government for Farmer Product Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act 2020 and Farmers Empowerment and Protection Agreement on Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
