Government is making a list of products to compete with China

The central government is making a list of such Indian products with which it can compete with China. The government will help the traders in increasing the production of such products. During the video conferencing between the Chamber of Trade Industry (CTI) and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on Friday, DPIIT Joint Secretary Ravindra Singh assured the traders of Delhi. About 100 business and industrial organizations participated in it.

After the meeting, CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal said that the traders expressed their concern about the possession of Chinese products on the market. To this, Ravindra Singh said that the rate and quality of products is the major issue on which we have to compete with Chinese products. The government has decided to buy 20 percent of goods from domestic small and micro industries. Apart from this, the government is considering giving incentives to entrepreneurs. Infrastructure will be created to create new industry clusters, which will easily provide water and electricity connection.

According to Goyal, the government believes it is impractical to suddenly stop importing Chinese goods. Therefore, the government is working on a long-term plan. DPIIT has assured that the government is identifying Indian products that can compete with Chinese products, which will be promoted. In the meeting, businessmen associated with mobile, computer, toys, cosmetic, footwear, electronic, and marble industries also presented their suggestions in front of Ravindra Singh.
