New Delhi | Tokyo Olympics gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra was surrounded by fans as he arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here and security personnel could not handle the situation despite tight arrangements.
Neeraj came out wearing the Indian team jersey and mask and was surrounded by a crowd of fans despite all efforts to protect.
Apart from the fans, electronic media surrounded him with the mic and tried to take Neeraj’s bite. After this, somehow Neeraj was taken out of the airport and sent to Ashoka Hotel where Union Minister Anurag Thakur would honor the Indian medal winners.
The lobby of Ashoka Hotel is decorated with marigold flowers. Here all preparations have been made to welcome the medal winners.
The Olympians and support staff who arrived on Air India Flight 307 were taken straight from the airport to Ashoka Hotel and tight security arrangements were made at the airport.
