I like to promote Indian culture: Sara Ali Khan

Mumbai, Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan has talked about her love for Indian attire and said that as a public figure, it is an additional responsibility to promote the culture at the fashion level.

Sara walked the runway on day four of LFW x FDCI in a stunning ensemble for designer Varun Chakkilam.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Sara talked about her interest in Indian costumes.

The actress said: “Indian clothes are incredibly comfortable to wear. Their western version is co-ord sets and it seems like the world has really embraced that style.”

“More than anything, as public figures, it is our duty to promote our culture even at the level of fashion and clothing, so that everyone else can be inspired and influenced,” Sara said.

As a famous personality, fashion and profession go hand in hand. But in real life, Sara believes in living a simple life.

He said, “I believe that comfort is very important in fashion. What makes me feel good is what I wear. I like to keep things simple and that’s why I like to wear simple kurtas.”
