Kasganj murder case (Uttar Pradesh): Moti Singh, the main accused who attacked two police personnel and beaten one to death on 9 February in Kasganj, was killed in an encounter early Sunday. Moti, who had been absconding since the incident, was hiding in a forest area near the Kali River. Based on the intelligence received, a police team started searching in the area late Saturday.

At 3 am on Sunday, the police finally found the whereabouts of Moti and his accomplices and on seeing him, the police opened fire.

Meanwhile, even though Moti’s companions managed to run around in the darkness, Moti got injured due to the bullet. She was rushed to the Sidhpura Community Health Center, where doctors declared her dead.

It is to be known that on the night of 9 February, constables Devendra Singh and Daroga Ashok came to Nagla Dhimar village in Kasangaj to paste a notice and it was here that Moti and his comrades got together and beat them up, in which Devendra was killed and Ashok was injured. happened.

Hours after the incident, Moti’s brother Ilkar was also shot by the police.
