Mahakumbh: Administration’s appeal on Mauni Amavasya, told- ‘What to do and what not to do’

Mahakumbh Nagar, January 28 . Crores of devotees are reaching Prayagraj on the holy occasion of Mauni Amavasya in Mahakumbh. In such a situation, the fair administration has made special preparations to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees. Devotees have been advised to avoid any kind of rumour and be alert. Apart from this, in case of emergency, a team of fair police, traffic police, and special doctors has been deployed 24 hours a day to look after the devotees.

Senior Superintendent of Police Mahakumbh Nagar Rajesh Dwivedi said that special preparations have been made for the second Amrit Snan Mauni Amavasya. Especially devotees are being made aware that they should be alert and not get caught in any kind of rumour. Cooperate with the police to maintain the system and take the help of the police in any kind of problem. Police and administration are available 24 hours to help the devotees.

What to do:- Go through different lanes to reach Sangam Ghat.

Stay in your lane while going for a Ganga bath.

The devotees coming after bathing and darshan should go straight to the parking.

Stay in your lane while going for darshan in temples; from there, leave for your destination.

Take the help of the police if needed; the police are there to help you.

Traffic police is also ready to help you.

In case of a health-related problem, get yourself examined in the hospital built in the nearest sector.

Be patient on barricading and pontoon bridges; avoid hurry and jostling.

Use only paper, jute, or eco-friendly utensils and kulhars.

All ghats are Sangam Ghat; take bath at the ghat you reach.

What not to do: Devotees should not stay together at one place.

Under no circumstances should the devotees coming and going come face to face.

Avoid rumours spread by anyone in the fair.

Do not believe any confusion spread on social media to be true.

Do not show any kind of hurry for darshan in temples.

Do not stop on the roads instead of the holding area, do not create any kind of obstruction.

Avoid getting misled by anyone regarding the arrangements or facilities.

Avoid forwarding any kind of misleading news.

Do not hurry for holy bath.

Avoid using plastic sheets and utensils.
