Main focus on reevaluation of every school infrastructure, training of every teacher and re-start of Teachers Award in NDMC :Chairman NDMC.

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) celebrated the Teachers Day in which 338 teachers were felicitated with the certificates and trophies for their students 100% results in 12th and 10th Class board examination by the Chairperson, NDMC, Shri Bhupinder Singh Bhalla. On the occasion Vice Chairperson-Shri Satish Upadhyay, Members of Council, Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Smt Vishakha Sailani, Shri Girish Sachdeva and Director (Education) Shri RP Sati accompanied him.

In his address Shri Bhalla informed that in NDMC education  department’s focus will be on the reevaluation of every school infrastructure to improving the facilities. He said that NDMC is framing a training calendar for NDMC teacher to implement the National Education Policy. Chairman, Shri Bhalla also assured to restore the NDMC Teacher Award for their contribution in the field of education.

NDMC Vice Chairman, Shri Upadhyay recalled the Indian tradition of teaching and learning in the “Guru Shishya Parampra” and said that in Indian Culture Guru/Teacher is equal to the God who shows the path of moksha. He further said that the new National Education Policy  which is being implemented in NDMC, every teacher has a duty to implement it in its true spirit to ensure development of the nation.

NDMC Member Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal said that after visits conducted by him in NDMC Schools; he observed scope of improvement at infrastructure level. He suggested NDMC may collaborate with organization like NIFT. He also informed that major changes will reflect soon in education system in NDMC. Shri Chahal also visited in the morning at Navyug School, Satya Sadan and appreciated the services given by the teachers and encouraged the students to do better in their lives.

NDMC Member, Smt Vishakha Sailani mentioned that for Aatamnirbhar Bharat, good education is the first step for making future of the children and youth in school and colleges. She said that teachers’ role is very important for making India self reliant. She appreciated the efforts of NDMC teachers for excellent result at par with private schools of the Capital.

On the occasion of Teachers Day, 338 teachers of 28 Schools were selected for the felicitation for their 12th and 10th class students 100% results. In the celebration function, 12 Head of Schools /Principal were also felicitated for their 100% result of school in board examination. Eight teachers were also felicitated for 100% result of their respective subject. One teacher was felicitated for his special contribution for making NDMC school websites.
