Modi’s warning to China: India able to respond appropriately

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday sent a clear signal to China on the India-China deadlock following the martyrdom of 20 Indian Army personnel in a violent clash with Chinese soldiers. He said that when it comes to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India, it will not tolerate any such act. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first statement has come after the martyrdom of 20 soldiers. His statement came during a video conferencing with the Chief Ministers dealing with the Coronavirus Mahamir. He also urged to keep silence for the most 2 minutes in memory of the martyrs.

The Prime Minister made it clear that India wants peace, but will take all possible steps to protect itself.

Modi said, “I would like to assure the country that the sacrifice of our soldiers will not go in vain. For us, unity and sovereignty of the country are important. India wants peace, but if provoked, India is able to respond appropriately. ”

He said that sacrifice and courage are the specialty of India.

Significantly, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash with Chinese soldiers on Monday night in Galvan Valley of eastern Ladakh.
