Mundka fire: Building owner Manish Lakra arrested

New Delhi| Delhi Police has got a big success in the Mundka fire case. Manish Lakra, the owner of the building that was gutted in a fire two days ago, has been arrested. A government official gave this information. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sameer Sharma said, “We have arrested Manish Lakra. He was nabbed during the raid.”

Manish Lakra, a resident of Mundka, lived on the top floor of the building. He was absconding after the fire incident. 27 people died in this incident. However, it is not yet known whether he was present in the building at the time of the incident.

“We conducted raids at several places in Delhi and Haryana, and finally his whereabouts were traced,” the DCP said.

The building had ground plus three floors. The same company was present on the ground, first and second floor. The owners of this company Harish Goyal and Varun Goel were also arrested. Most of the people were present on the second floor of the building at the time of the incident.
