NDMC organises live demo about working of Integrated Command and Control Centre for School Students, RWA and Media.

New Delhi: To celebrate the 75th Years of Independence as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to showcase the achievements of India over these years, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organised a live demo about working of Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) for school students, Representative of Residential Welfare Association (RWAs), Market Traders Association (MTAs) and Media at NDMC Command and Control Centre, Ground Floor, Palika Kendra, Sansad Marg, New Delhi, today.

· ICCC had been inaugurated by Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi in the year 2020. The services will empower citizen with the following facilities.

1. FREEDOM FROM WASTE

2. FREEDOM FROM CRIME

3. FREEDOM FROM QUEUE

4. FREEDOM FROM POLLUTION

5. FREEDOM FROM DISEASE & ITS MONITORING

6. FREEDOM FROM WATER SCARCITY

7. FREEDOM FROM INEFFECIENCY

ICCC are envisaged to be the brain for city operation, exception handling, and disaster management and has been designed to serve as the nerve centre for various NDMC services like Solid Waste Management, Street Lighting, Parking, Sewage Treatment Plants, Education, Health care, Safety, Electric and Water Billing etc which have been integrated on this platform.

· ICCC as a platform through its different layers and components will act as a decision support system (DSS) for municipal administration to respond to the real time events by consuming data feeds from different data sources and by processing information out of the data sets.

· ICCC aggregates information across multiple applications and their customizable analysis which is visible 24X7 on surveillance monitors at the command centre and can be accessed through a single dashboard. This, in turn, will enable NDMC with better situational awareness with real time data for better monitoring of these services and intervention.

ICCC can also be used for:

i. Increasing the situational awareness by providing insights using data for civic officials through deployment of sensors across the city.

ii. Enhancing collaboration across multiple departments within and outside urban local bodies and government bodies.

iii. Institutionalizing data driven decision making for regular operations and during crisis situation across levels of city functionaries – right from operators to municipal administrators.

 This ICCC has been established under Smart City by NDMC Smart City Limited.

20 services have been integrated to for the benefit of governance. More services will be added to ICCC to ensure better visibility on city governance. The capacity build-up already created to accommodate complete spectrum of municipal operations.

·This project involved setting up of physical infrastructure for ICCC and Data Centre as per TIER-3 Standards, Video Wall Screen, Consoles for 48 operators, Smart Networking Racks, IT Hardware, Software, Surveillance Cameras, IOT devices, Command Centre Platform, Video Conferencing Unit at 7 locations, etc with integration of 20 NDMC services.

NDMC is constantly striving to improve its service delivery levels to add to the public satisfaction. In this direction it is a matter of pride that NDMC has bagged the cleanest Capital National Award under Swachch Survekshan from Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
