Night curfew in Delhi: how to get e-pass

New Delhi | The Delhi government ordered a curfew from 10 am to 5 am on Tuesday after more than 3,500 new cases of Covid were reported daily in the last four days in the national capital. The night curfew will remain in force till April 30 with immediate effect. An order in this regard was issued by the Delhi Government on the recommendation of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).

The DDMA said, “The status of Covid19 in the NCT of Delhi has been reviewed and in recent times it has been observed that there has been a sudden increase in the cases of Covid-19 and hence it was felt that the curfew was imposed at night. Is required.”

In the order issued by DDMA, curfew will be imposed in the NCT area of ​​Delhi from 10 am to 5 am as an emergency measure for the safety of the people. However, the exemption will remain for essential services/activities.

The state government has decided to give relaxation in certain categories so that essential services are not affected.

Which ones are exempt?

Government of India officials, public corporations and Delhi government officials, government agencies involved in essential services such as health and family welfare and medical establishments are exempted.

People connected to Delhi Police, Home Guards, Civil Defense, Fire and Emergency Services, Electricity, Water and Sanitation, Public Transport have also been exempted from the night curfew.

Pregnant women and patients seeking treatment are exempted from night travel.

Private doctors, nurses and paramedics are exempted but will need to show their ID to travel in the city during the night curfew.

Passengers going to the airport and railway station need to show a valid ticket for night travel.

There will be no restriction on inter-state transport of essential/non-essential goods. Separate permission / e-pass will not be required for such activity.

Shopkeepers selling essential items such as groceries, fruits, vegetables, milk, meat and fish, animal feed, pharmaceuticals, medicine and medical equipment will be allowed to travel only when they pass e-pass.

Apart from these, people connected with banks, insurance offices and ATMs, telecom, internet services, broadcast and cable services, IT and IT-enabled services will also be allowed after e-pass.

Who is exempted from travel during night curfew and who needs an e-pass?

Essential employees or those working for essential services are exempted, but an e-pass is mandatory for travel between 10 am and 5 pm.

Journalists working in print or electronic media will need an e-pass to travel somewhere during the night curfew.

Those going for the Kovid-19 vaccination at night will need an e-pass to visit vaccination centers or hospitals during the night curfew time.

From Tuesday to April 30, between 10 am and 5 am, people traveling in the city or going out of Delhi will have to make an e-pass. However, those under the exemption categories will not need an e-pass.

How to get an e-pass?

It is necessary to enter all the details mentioned in the form. After filling the form, you will receive a QR-enabled rebate on your given mobile number or email id.

During the night curfew in the city or on the state borders, it will be necessary to download and show the e-pass if demanded by the police.
