No ventilator, Dilip Kumar is on oxygen support, condition stable

Mumbai| Bollywood veteran Dilip Kumar admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai is currently on oxygen support and his condition is stable. Dilip Kumar is battling bilateral pleural effusion, which means water filling the lungs. A post on his official Twitter page on Monday said that some test results are awaited to perform plural aspiration.


The tweet read, “Update till 11.45 am, Dilip Saab is on oxygen support, not on a ventilator. His condition is stable. Awaiting some test results to perform pleural aspiration. Chest specialist Dr. Jaleel Parkar is treating him. Will be updated with regular updates.”

Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital on Sunday.

Earlier on Sunday morning in a tweet, it was said, “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to Non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for a routine check-up. He was having difficulty in breathing. Health led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale A team of personnel is taking care of him. Please keep Saab in your prayers and stay safe.”
