Prime Minister Modi emphasizes increasing beds, ICUs, and oxygen in Parliamentary constituency Varanasi

New Delhi| Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reviewed the preparations for the Covid 19 management in the parliamentary constituency Varanasi. He emphasized increasing beds, ICUs, and oxygen facilities. During a meeting with public representatives and officers through video conferencing, the Prime Minister inquired about testing, beds, medicines, vaccines, and manpower, etc. for prevention and treatment from Corona. He directed the officers to assist the people in times of crisis and being sensitive. Prime Minister Modi asked everyone over the age of 45 to be aware of the vaccine. He thanked all the doctors and medical staff of the country who were undergoing treatment in the time of crisis, saying, “We have to move forward by being cautious, learning from the experiences of the last year.”

Prime Minister Modi told, “As a representative of Varanasi, he is also constantly taking feedback from the general public. The modernization of medical infrastructure in Varanasi over the last five to six years has helped fight Corona. Beds, ICUs, and Oxygen in Varanasi Availability is being increased. Efforts are being made from all levels to reduce the pressure on the system due to an increase in the number of patients. ”

Prime Minister Modi, while praising the Varanasi administration’s ‘Kashi Covid Response Center’, emphasized some other arrangements.

Emphasizing ‘Test, Track and Treat’, the Prime Minister said that the same strategy would have to be adopted to win over the virus. He also stressed making contact tracing and test reports of infected persons at the earliest. He also asked officers to behave sensitively and responsibly towards patients living in home isolation and their families.

Prime Minister Modi praised the voluntary organizations of Varanasi.

“The way voluntary organizations work with the government should be encouraged more,” he said.

Through video conferencing, Varanasi public representatives and officials informed the Prime Minister about the preparations made for the rescue and treatment from Kovid.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the control room set up for contact tracing, command and control center for home isolation, dedicated phone line ambulance, telemedicine arrangement from the control room, deployment of the additional rapid response team in the urban area, etc. The Prime Minister was told that so far 19,8383 persons have been given the first dose and 35,014 persons have been given both doses of vaccination for protection from Covid.

During this video conferencing meeting, Minister of State Neelkanth Tiwari, Minister of State Ravindra Jaiswal, MLA Surendra Narayan Singh, MLC Ashok Dhawan, MLC Laxman Acharya, MLC and Kovid in-charge Varanasi AK Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Aggarwal, Commissioner of Police A. Satish Ganesh, District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Gaurang Rathi, Medical Officer Dr. NP Singh, Director IMS BHU Prof. BR Mittal, etc. were present.
