Sur Jagriti Foundation joins hands with film ‘Meher’, Raj Kundra makes big announcement – first day’s earnings will be donated to Punjab flood victims
New Delhi: Sur Jagriti Foundation proudly joined hands with Punjabi film ‘Meher’ as an NGO partner. The film’s producer Divya Bhatnagar, actor-producer Raj Kundra and actress Geeta Basra were to reach Delhi on this occasion, but due to heavy rains their flight was diverted to Chandigarh. In such a situation, they addressed the program through video conferencing.
Bangla Sahib Gurudwara Chairman Mr. Surjit Singh was also present on this occasion. He congratulated Raj Kundra on wearing hair and turban again and adopting Sikhism. On this, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara Chairman Mr. Surjit Singh said that this has created a wave of happiness among the Sikh brothers.
Raj Kundra announced in the program that in view of the floods in Punjab, the entire earnings of the first day of the film ‘Meher’ will be dedicated to the flood victims. He said that there is no benefit in postponing the release date, but helping the victims is necessary.
Apart from this, on the question related to donating kidney to Swami Premanand, Raj Kundra admitted that he himself had requested him that he wants to donate his kidney so that Swamiji can continue his work of social service.
In the program, Geeta Basra said on the subject of the film ‘Meher’ that this story tells to what extent a person can sacrifice for his family.
Sukhpal Singh of Sur Jagriti Foundation announced on this occasion that his team will soon leave for Punjab with a large stock of medicines. Devinder Singh Sahni-Vice President Sur Jagriti Foundation and Surinderpal Singh Rama- Patron Sur Jagriti Foundation said that food and water are being arranged in the flood-affected areas, but medicines are not reaching. In such a situation, the foundation’s team will ensure that essential medicines reach the affected areas.
