Terror attack alert in Mumbai: Security increased in the city, ban on flying drones, paragliders and air balloons

Mumbai, September 28 . An alert has been issued regarding a terrorist attack in the country’s financial capital, Mumbai. Mumbai Police has also banned the use of some equipment. Along with this, security arrangements have also been tightened in the city.

Mumbai Police has banned all things flying in the sky including drone cameras, micro light aircraft, paragliders, para motors, hang gliders, and hot air balloons.

Apart from this, security has also been tightened at all religious places and crowded places in the city. Instructions have also been given to conduct mock drills in such areas. Along with this, all DCPs have been instructed to be vigilant about security arrangements in their respective zones.

Central agencies have instructed Mumbai Police to make security arrangements around Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. During this period, the use of drone cameras, micro light aircraft, paragliders, para motors, hang gliders, hot air balloons and flying objects in the sky and laser beam lights should be checked so that the operation of flights is not disrupted. Along with this, immediate action can be taken against those who violate the orders.

Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Akbar Pathan said that an order has been issued under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 and Section 10 Subsection (2) of the Maharashtra Police Act 1951. No person shall release paragliders, balloons, firecrackers in the sky around Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. If any person is found involved in such activities with the intention of obstructing the landing, takeoff, and flight operations of the aircraft, then action will be taken against him under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023.
