Srinagar | An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Chandaji area of Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday. Officials gave this information. Police said, “An encounter has started in Chandaji area of Bandipora. Police and security forces are on the job.”
The encounter took place after a joint team of police and army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation based on specific information about the presence of terrorists.
As soon as the security forces reached the spot, the terrorists hiding there started firing.
