Islamabad| Three Pakistani soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack in the country’s southwestern Balochistan province. Pakistani army gave this information. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement that a group of terrorists attacked a post of security forces in the Margate area of Balochistan in the early hours of Saturday. ISPR said, troops at the post immediately retaliated, due to which the terrorists retreated. Three soldiers lost their lives in the exchange of fire, while a terrorist was also gunned down by the security forces, Xinhua news agency reported.
Security forces have identified a possible hideout of the terrorists in the nearby mountains.
The statement said that the security forces are applying pressure to prevent the terrorists from fleeing from the area.
The army said that Pakistani security forces are determined to thwart attempts to harm peace, stability and progress in Balochistan.
