Two senior BSP leaders expelled on charges of anti-party activities

Lucknow| Bahujan Samaj Party’s tough attitude is being seen before the assembly elections to be held next year. BSP president Mayawati has expelled two senior MLAs Lalji Verma and Ram Achal Rajbhar for alleged anti-party activities during the recent panchayat elections. Lalji Verma, who was the leader of the BSP legislature party in the state assembly, has also been removed from his post.

Guddu Jamali alias Shah Alam has been appointed as the new leader of the legislature party.

Both the expelled leaders belong to Ambedkar Nagar and are among the most senior leaders of the party. Ram Achal Rajbhar is the former state president of BSP.

The expulsion of both the leaders has taken the party workers by surprise.

A party MLA said, “We are shocked by the decision of the BSP president. In UP, the party is completely deprived of grassroots leaders.”
