When opposition leaders went to the Election Commission, Smriti Irani said – attempts to put pressure on the Commission and the Court are condemnable

New Delhi, . Union Minister Smriti Irani condemned the opposition leaders going to the Election Commission and said that this has proved that this alliance is an alliance of thieves. All these parties went to the Election Commission to arrest the mastermind of the liquor scam.

While talking to journalists at the BJP national headquarters, Smriti Irani also targeted Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi without naming him and said that today a person who was defending Arvind Kejriwal in the court was speaking in the Election Commission. . Describing this as an attempt to put pressure on the court, he said that this attempt to put pressure on the judiciary is condemnable.

Answering the question regarding Rahul Gandhi’s stand, he said that Rahul Gandhi had gone to Telangana and said that the BRS government had committed a liquor scam. He should tell which Rahul Gandhi is right – the one from Telangana or the one from Delhi? Which Congress is right – the one complaining against Kejriwal or the one defending him today?

Countering the statement of AAP leaders, he said that summons are not sent to answer the summons but summons are given to appear.

Citing the Supreme Court’s comments, he said, do AAP leaders who allege political vendetta want to say that the Supreme Court has given a wrong opinion? Whatever you leaders are saying in the press conference, why did you not say it in the court?

Regarding the statement of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, he said that black money from the liquor scam was used in the elections of Goa as well as Punjab. Punjab CM should tell in what fear he had gone to meet his sister-in-law.

Earlier, Smriti Irani, reacting to the court sending Arvind Kejriwal to ED remand, said that the mastermind of the liquor scam is finally in the custody of the law.

He said that the news of Kejriwal’s remand has convinced the country that even if the person doing corruption is Kejriwal, he is not above the law in this country.

Union Minister Smriti Irani said that all the documents and facts in this case are heart-wrenching. He said that when it was said in the court that courtesy of Vijay Nair, the elite liquor companies sat and made the liquor policy, none of Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyers refuted it. The bank transaction was mentioned in the court and there was no denial by Arvind Kejriwal or his legal team.

The Union Minister further said that many facts and statements related to CA of Vijay Nair, Sameer Mahendru, Secretary of Manish Sisodia and K Kavitha along with the details of the transactions were also put forward, against which no objection was received by Kejriwal’s legal team. Argument not given. Even against the cases filed in the court under CBI and PMLA, Kejriwal’s lawyers did not say anything.

Countering the statements of AAP leaders, Smriti Irani said that AAP leaders are asking where the money went, full details of it were given to the court. AAP used Rs 45 crore of this bribe money in the Goa elections and this money was sent there through four routes and this fact was not denied by Kejriwal’s lawyers.

He said that complete information about where the money was spent, how and to whom it was distributed was given in the court, but none of the three lawyers of Kejriwal denied these facts.
