DUSU voting ends, everyone hopes for their victory, ‘AAP’ out of the election

New Delhi, September 27 . Voting for Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections concluded on Friday evening. With this, ABVP, NSUI and Left-backed student organizations have claimed their victory.

At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party’s student organization ‘Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti’ did not participate in this election. It has made the monitoring being done by the university in the elections an issue.

Students associated with the organization believe that the university is not monitoring this election properly. Amidst such allegations and counter-allegations, the ruling AAP of Delhi remained completely out of this election race of Delhi University.

After the completion of the elections, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has thanked all the students who exercised their franchise in the DUSU elections. It has expressed confidence of winning all the four seats. The Vidyarthi Parishad says that the students have participated in the first step of democracy by exercising their franchise.

The Vidhyarthi Parishad alleged that at the very beginning of voting, the candidate for the post of Joint Secretary of NSUI assaulted a professor. He misbehaved with the professors and tried to capture the booth.

It said that this has been marked as a black chapter in the history of Delhi University. Since the defeat of NSUI is certain, it is trying to mislead by making false allegations in panic.

Yagnavalkya Shukla, National General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad said that a positive environment has been created by the students in the issue-based elections and the students of Delhi University participated enthusiastically in the voting. Efforts will also be made on how the student union can play a transformative role in the new era.

Harsh Atri of ABVP said that since morning, a good number of students have participated in the democratic festival of Delhi University. This was encouraging. Due to working for the students throughout the year, a positive trend of students towards ABVP was seen in the elections this year too.
