New Delhi, March 2 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (February 28) participated in the Sufi music festival ‘Jahan-e-Khusro 2025’ organized at Sunder Nursery in Delhi. Syed Farid Ahmed Nizami, the Sajjadanashin of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah, has given a statement regarding PM Modi’s participation in the program.
Syed Farid Ahmed Nizami told IANS, “I also participated in the ‘Jahan-e-Khusro 2025’ program. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a wonderful speech. There was an atmosphere of happiness among all the people during PM Modi’s speech. He gave a very good message for the entire country. He also wished Ramadan Mubarak.”
The Prime Minister has praised Amir Khusro and the Sufi tradition. In this regard, Syed Farid Ahmed Nizami said that PM Modi has been praising the Sufi tradition for the last few years. We have heard his speeches and also met him. His chaadar always goes to the Asthana Mubarak of Garib Nawaz. We always get his message on the Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. This shows that PM Modi has love for Sufi saints in his heart. PM Modi has always been a believer of dargahs and khanqahs. We felt very happy to hear his speech.
He said that he agrees with PM Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. He said that PM Modi is not the Prime Minister of any particular party or any particular section, but of the entire country. When the Wazir-e-Azam (Prime Minister) says something, it is for everyone. People may have had complaints against him, but whenever we met him, we felt very happy in his words and saw a truth.
Are common Muslims against PM Modi? In response to this question, he said, “I don’t think the common Muslim is against PM Modi. These are rumours spread on social media, there are always opponents, but it is not right to associate them with all Muslims. We have seen many people praising him and they are his friends and also meet him. We have also met him. We have listened to him sitting in front of him. We have listened to him sitting in his house.”
