Prime Minister’s views on Sufi tradition are amazing, Muslims are also with PM Modi: Syed Naseeruddin Chishti

Ajmer, March 2 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Sufi music festival ‘Jahan-e-Khusrao 2025’ organized at Sunder Nursery in Delhi on February 28. Addressing the program, he wished Ramadan Mubarak and described Islam as a religion of brotherhood. Syed Naseeruddin Chishti, Chief of the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council and a descendant of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, described PM Modi’s views as “amazing”.

Syed Naseeruddin Chishti told that ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he has been attending the programs of Sufi saints. Even when he was the Chief Minister, he had an affinity towards Sufi saints. We have seen his reverence for Sufi saints in his speeches many times. I welcome his participation in the program, this is a positive message.

He said that PM Modi has given Ramadan Mubarak and all the countrymen accept it wholeheartedly.

PM Modi had praised Amir Khusro and the Sufi tradition in the program. Syed Naseeruddin Chishti said, “I have also heard PM Modi’s speech, and I liked it very much. The words and thoughts he expressed about Sufis were amazing, and what I liked the most was that he studied Sufism very well and quoted some verses of Amir Khusro. Amir Khusro compared India to heaven and PM Modi absolutely rightly said that India is the garden of heaven where the colors of every culture have flourished. This is our Ganga-Jamuni culture that Sufis have always talked about love and peace. Sufis have brought the true face of Islam in front of the people, which talks about love, which talks about living together.” When asked what impact PM Modi’s message will have on Muslims, the Chief of All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council said that it will definitely have a very positive impact. The thinking of Muslims is not the same as before. Muslims are standing with PM Modi. He is the Prime Minister of the whole country, the Prime Minister of 140 crore people. Under the leadership of PM Modi, our country is moving forward and is going to become a global power. Muslims are also standing with him. People of the whole country should listen to PM Modi’s speech.

Syed Naseeruddin Chishti agreed with PM Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and said that India’s democracy is the largest democracy in the world. The government works for the development of all. PM Modi’s slogan from the beginning has been ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Samman’. The Modi government is doing good work.

He said that some political parties and some leaders do not want Muslims to come close to PM Modi. Muslims stand with the Prime Minister of the country and the central government, stand with the progress of the country, stand with the unity and integrity of the country.

Denying that the common Muslims of the country are against PM Modi, he said that there are some people who present such a picture that this government and PM Modi are anti-Muslim, but it is not so. A lot of development has taken place in the last 10 years. There is no discrimination in the schemes that have come from the central government till date in these years. Development has taken place for everyone. Jobs have come up for everyone. The Muslims of India are not going to be misled by anyone. The Muslims of India are sensible and responsible Muslims. They also understand their responsibility towards the Government of India.

He said that the Muslims of the country are ready to walk shoulder to shoulder with the Government of India. Muslims are standing for the progress of the country. The Muslims of the country fully accept the leadership of PM Modi. PM Modi is taking the country to the global level, no amount of praise for it would be enough.

He said, “PM Modi should go to as many events organised by Muslims as possible, he needs to meet them face to face. This will clear the misunderstandings created by the non-believers. I am sure that PM Modi openly goes among Muslims and will continue to do so and will keep expressing his views in this manner.”
