Washington, March 31 US President Donald Trump has offered a proposal in a social media post. In a post on Tuesday, he told countries facing jet fuel shortages that they could turn to the US if they couldn’t get through Hormuz. In two separate posts, he also strongly rebuked France and Britain.
Regarding oil, Trump said, “I would give two words of advice to countries like Britain (which refused to join the effort to overthrow Iran) and those who are unable to access jet fuel through the Strait of Hormuz.”
Trump then offered those two words of advice. He further wrote, “First, I would like them to buy oil from the United States because America has enough oil.”
The US President’s second advice was to show courage and bravery. He wrote, “My second advice is to show some courage, even if it’s late, go to Hormuz and take what’s right.”
Trump further wrote, “You have to learn to fight for yourself.” He claimed that America will not always be there to support them, just as you are not standing with them.
Challenging the world and patting yourself on the back, Trump concluded, “Iran is weakened, it has been destroyed. We have done the most difficult thing.” Now you should show the courage to go and get your oil.”
In his next post, Trump rebuked France, expressing his displeasure and condemning it. He wrote, “France prevented planes carrying military equipment from flying over its territory to Israel. France proved absolutely ineffective in eliminating the “Butcher of Iran,” whom we ultimately killed, and America will remember this attitude!”
Trump has consistently expressed his displeasure with European allies who have refused to participate in the US and Israeli military campaign against Iran—especially when they expressed their concerns about being involved in the extremely dangerous efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping.
