Bengaluru, Feb 12 Adani Defense and Aerospace showcased future technology and modern weapons at Asia’s largest air show ‘Aero India 2025’.
The stall of the defense company of Adani Group was one of the major attractions in the 15th edition of Aero India, where modern weapons and future defense technology were displayed.
The main attraction at the stall of Adani Defense and Aerospace was the ‘Vehicle-Mounted Counter-Drone System’, which the company has developed in collaboration with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
The stall presented future weapons in four layers of defense, including protection, detection, neutralization and use of AI in the protection of national borders.
Ashish Raghuvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence and Aerospace, told IANS, “All the capabilities we are working towards are on display here. It ranges from drones to small arms, ammunition, missiles, surface-guided missiles and most importantly, artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced machinery.”
Ashok Wadhawan, Head of Land Systems, said, “Our aim is to become a strategic partner of the defence forces. Our focus is on developing futuristic technologies, products that go beyond their expectations. If they can imagine a capability, we want to turn it into reality and build those advanced systems in India.”
Providing details about the display, Wadhawan elaborated, “We have structured our technology in four layers. The first layer focuses on security, which includes unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned underwater systems designed for early surveillance and threat detection.”
He further said, “The second layer is detection, which includes aircraft converted into aerial surveillance platforms, which are our eyes in the sky. We are focusing on detection in the ground, air and underwater areas. The third layer is neutralization, which includes moving objects, missiles and other ammunition. The last layer includes advanced weapons.” According to Wadhawan, apart from this, we are demonstrating AI-driven solutions designed to protect the forces. Our primary focus is on the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, however, exports are also part of our strategy. However, our priority is our country’s forces. He further said that we are partnering with government defense companies instead of competing with them.
