Akhilesh Yadav saddened by Prateek Yadav’s death, says, “I will accept whatever the law and the family decide.”

Lucknow, May 13 The death of Prateek Yadav, the younger brother of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, on Wednesday, sent shockwaves through the Yadav family and Samajwadi Party workers. Following Prateek Yadav’s death, Akhilesh Yadav visited the Lucknow postmortem house, where he remained for a long time.

After returning, he expressed his deep sorrow while speaking to the media, saying that he had met Prateek a few months ago and had advised him to take care of his health. Akhilesh Yadav said, “We met about two months ago. I told him to take care of his health and pursue his business. Sometimes, a person is devastated by business losses.”

Remembering his younger brother, he said, “I have known Prateek since childhood. It is very sad that he is no longer with us. He wanted to move forward in life. His passing has deeply affected the family.”

When asked about the cause of death, the SP chief responded with restraint, saying that whatever the family and the law decide will be accepted. He said, “We will accept whatever the law and the family say. We will pursue a completely legal course.”

Meanwhile, an eerie silence prevailed outside the Yadav family’s ancestral home in Saifai. Most family members have left for Lucknow. An atmosphere of mourning is also being witnessed in the Etawah and Saifai areas. The body of Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, has been brought to KGMU in Lucknow for a post-mortem.

State Women’s Commission Chairperson Babita Singh Chauhan visited the residence of Prateek Yadav, husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav and son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, following his death. She said, “This is a very sad incident… May God grant peace to his soul. May God give the family the strength to bear this loss.”

It is known that Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, passed away this morning. His body has been brought to KGMU in Lucknow for postmortem.
