New Delhi, February 19 . Congress leader Alka Lamba and many other leaders have congratulated Rekha Gupta on being elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi.
Alka Lamba wrote on social media platform X, “This memorable picture of 1995, when Rekha Gupta and I took oath together. I had won the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) President’s post from NSUI. Rekha Gupta had won the General Secretary’s post from ABVP. Congratulations and best wishes to Rekha Gupta. Congratulations to Delhi on getting its fourth woman Chief Minister and we Delhiites hope that Maa Yamuna will be clean and daughters will be safe.” BJP MLA from New Delhi, Pravesh Verma, wrote on Instagram, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta on being elected as the leader of the BJP Delhi Legislative Party. I have full faith that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double engine government of BJP will establish dimensions of progress and development in Delhi. For BJP, Nari Shaktikaran is not just a slogan but it is determined to fulfill women empowerment in real sense. Delhi getting a woman Chief Minister is a proof of PM Modi’s commitment towards the upliftment of Nari Shakti and women empowerment.”
Rekha Gupta’s name has been announced as the Chief Minister of Delhi. In the meeting of the Legislative Party, Satish Upadhyay and Vijendra Gupta proposed the name of Rekha Gupta, then the name of the CM was announced.
Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman CM of Delhi. Before this, Sheila Dixit, Sushma Swaraj and Atishi have been CMs. All the BJP leaders have congratulated Rekha Gupta on being elected CM.
