Jammu| Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. During this two terrorists were killed. A defense official gave this information on Monday.
In a statement, Defense Ministry spokesman Lt Col Sunil Bartwal said, “An infiltration bid has been foiled in Poonch district. In a joint operation by the Indian Army and local police in the early hours of 6–7 August, two infiltrating terrorists were eliminated by joint teams of the army and police.
“One terrorist fell instantly, another terrorist tried to escape back across the LoC. Later he was also killed and was seen falling near the LoC. The operation is still underway.”
