Assam, Arunachal earthquake, PM assured help

Guwahati| The earthquake was felt in the northeastern states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The intensity of this shock has been measured at 6.4 on the Richter scale. After the great earthquake felt in these states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured all possible help to the affected people.

The first tremor was felt at Sonitpur, bordering Arunachal Pradesh in northern Assam at 7.51 am on Wednesday morning, followed by at least seven consecutive tremors.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), these tremors have also been felt in other parts of northeastern states including North Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh.

After talking on the phone with Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, PM Modi tweeted, “Talked to Assam CM Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal Ji about the earthquake in some parts of the state and assured all possible help from the Center. . I pray for the safety of the people of Assam. ”

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and North Eastern Region Development Minister Jitendra Singh also spoke to Sonowal and assured all help to deal with the situation.
