Baba Siddiqui murder case, police claim third shooter identified, arrest soon

Mumbai, October 13 . Mumbai Police has claimed that the third shooter who absconded after killing NCP leader Baba Siddiqui has been identified and will be arrested soon.

Mumbai Police has also shared an update related to this case. Crime Branch has claimed that 15 teams of Mumbai Police have been sent to different states.

This could be a case of contract killing.

According to the police, the shooters were given Rs 50,000 each for the murder. These three were living in a rented house in Kurla for the last 25-30 days. At present, their handler has not been identified.

Earlier, CM Eknath Shinde, while expressing condolences to the bereaved family, had said that two accused have been arrested by the police. Of which one is said to be from Uttar Pradesh and one from Haryana. The third accused is absconding. He said, “I have instructed the police to take strict action.”

According to Mumbai Police, the arrested Gurmail Baljit Singh is from Haryana and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap is from Uttar Pradesh.

If sources are to be believed, Mumbai Police was searching for the third shooter in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. Let us tell you, firecrackers were being burst during the Durga Visarjan procession on Saturday night. Then Baba was attacked from an ambush. The bullet was fired amid the noise of firecrackers, due to which the sound of firing was not heard.

After the firing, all three attackers fled. The crowd caught two accused at a distance of about 50 meters. Sources are also saying that the murder is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

While one managed to escape. A case has been registered in Nirmal Nagar Police Station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code in crime number 589/2024.
