Cabinet Ministers of India pay homage to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at “BASANTI CHOLA DIWAS” on the eve of their Martyrdom Day

World renowned NGO Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal (SBSSD), under the supervision of its President, Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. Jitender Singh Shunty and Anti-Terrorism and Disaster Management specialist (England), S. JyotJeet Sabarwal, organized a mega event titled “Basanti Chola Diwas” on 22nd March 2023 afternoon, the eve of Martyrdom Day of Martyrs Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The event took place at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi, where The Minister of Minority Affairs and Women and Child Development, Government of India, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister of State (MoS) {Independent Charge}, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Earth Science, and MoS in the Prime Minister’s office, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Science, Government of India, Sh. Jitendra Singh, National General Secretary (Org), BJP, Sh. B.L Santhosh and Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Patron, Dadhichi Deh Dan Smiti, Sh. Alok Kumar, attended the event as the Chief Guests and paid their tributes to the martyrs. Singers Mika Singh and Ashok Mastie and Delhi BJP Chief, Sh. Virender Sachdeva attended the event as the Guest of Honour. A new Emergency Vehicle (Ambulance) was also inaugurated by the Chief Guests, which will be put to service of humankind by SBSSD. Doctors, Policemen, Municipality Cleaning staff, Ambulance Drivers, Crematorium workers, were also honored on the occasion, for their valuable services during Covid-19 Pandemic. Finally the event ended with a big announcement by S.Jyotjeet Sabarwal, who announced that along with ongoing philanthropic services by the NGO, an Anti-Terrorism wing of the NGO will soon be launched.

“I pay my tributes to Martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on the eve of their Martyrdom Day. I would like to commend the extra ordinary efforts of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal, Dr. Shunty and Jyotjeet, for risking their lives during Covid-19 Pandemic and cremating over 4000 Covid positive bodies. I assure them all my support in future for their projects for the service of humanity.” Said Smt. Smriti Irani, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Government of India.

“All of us gather today to pay tributes to Martyrs and also honour the Corona Warriors who stood up during tough times of covid-19 pandemic. While everyone was at home, they were out on road to serve the nation. We salute their spirit and thank them for their services. I would also like to add that Shunty ji received the Padma Shri last year and must say that he was one of the most deserving candidate for the honour. I wish him good luck in his social work and promise him and his team all my support, whenever he needs it.” Said Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble MoS PMO.

“Let us all remember legends Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our nation. We live free today because of their sacrifice. I would like to say that Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal is making every one of us proud with their services like Free Ambulance, Cremation, Hearse Van, Blood Donation. I thank Dr. Shunty for his selfless service to the nation and I hope he continues the noble work and achieves many more milestones.” Said Sh. B.L Santhosh, National General Secretary (Org), BJP.

“Shunty Ji is like my elder brother and I know him since last three decades now. I have always seen him doing social work and working for people. During Covid, each day, I used to get videos of Shunty Ji’s and his son Jyotjeet’s selfless service on my Whatsapp and I felt so proud of what they have done for the society. We all could not even imagine what they used to go through every day, during covid. Being surrounded by 100s of Covid dead bodies in cremation ground, in scorching heat, and burning pyres. I am getting goosebumps as I speak. Even when Shunty Ji and his family was down with covid, thousands of people from around the globe, prayed for this family and luckily, the prayers were heard. “I thank all the chief guests and guest of honours and esteemed and august gathering here who assembled today to pay homage to the son of soils, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev Ji. I am happy to announce launch of a brand new ambulance, in the fleet of our ambulances, which was flagged off today by our Chief Guests. I feel proud to tell you all that our new Anti-Terrorism wing, which will be launched soon, shall work towards developing Emergency Response Capacities of Communities by enhancing Participation of Communities in Countering Terrorism & Disaster Management, developing Community Resilience by imparting Disaster Management training in order to develop capabilities of communities to identify risks, aid Emergency Response during and after an Emergency/Terrorist Attack and bounce back to ordinary life, reducing the impact & severity of any terror activity. I urge you all to come along in this mission of ours and let us together become ears and eyes of the security forces, voluntarily and help them eradicate terrorism from roots. Said S.
