There were not many papers last year, this was the result’s formula
Due to Corona last year, CBSE had to stop the examinations in between. There were not many papers of class 10th and 12th. Many papers of CBSE 10th standard were saved but due to not falling in the category of the main subject, these papers were not done. Out of the total 83 subjects of the 10th and 12th papers, examinations were taken for 29 main subjects only. The remaining 54 subjects were assessed by grading. Results of these papers were released on the basis of internal assessment, project work, and assignment work. It is possible that CBSE may release the 10th result this year on the basis of internal assessment, project work, and assignment work.
Last year, 91.46 percent of students passed the 10th standard. The merit list was not released. The board did not announce the toppers of both the 12th and 10th classes in view of the circumstances arising out of the coronavirus.
Apart from this, last year students of class 9th and 11th in CBSE schools were also passed on the basis of internal assessment, test, project work.
Before CBSE, Chhattisgarh Board, Punjab Board, and MP Board have also postponed their examinations due to Corona.
