New Delhi: Secret information was received to ASI Harphool Singh that two accused namely Jitender @ Munna and Naresh Mandal who are involved in many robbery cases of Delhi and NCR would come in Wazirabad area along with other persons in a car.
Acting on the information a dedicated team of Special Staff North led by SI Rakesh Kumar Incharge special staff laid a trap at RCC Nala Road Wazirabad and intercepted the suspect vehicle at around 2240 hrs.
On seeing intercepted by the police, four person from car jumped out and started to run away.
One person fired on police party which hit the bullet proof jacket of ASI Harphool Singh. ASI Harphool Singh fired in self defence and bullet hit the left leg of accused. All four persons were apprehended by the alert staff without giving them any chance to flew away.
The name of injured was revealed as
1. Jitendra Kumar Maurya @ Munna S/o Lt. Rambilas Maurya
R/o Distt- Gonda, UP, Age- 26 Years,
He has been shifted to Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital for treatment.
The other apprehended persons are:
2. Naresh Kumar Mandal
R/o Distt- Girdih, Jharkhand,
age- 27 Years,
3. Rakesh Kumar Maurya
R/o P.S- Chhapiya, Distt- Gonda, UP
Age- 29 Years
