Vice-Chairman inspected the beautification and redevelopment work at Teen Murti Haifa Chowk

New Delhi: Vice-Chairman-NDMC, Shri Satish Upadhyay inspected the redevelopment and beautification work at Teen Murti Haifa Chowk today morning. He said the aim behind is to enhance the beautification of the New Delhi area on the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s “Swachh Bharat Mission” and celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

Shri Upadhyay said that the Hon’ble Prime Minister along-with former Israel Benjamin Netanyahu had renamed Teen Murti Chowk as Teen Murti Haifa Chowk on January 14th, 2018. Shri Upadhyay said Teen Murti Haifa Chowk represents friendship of India-Israel and valor of Hyderabad, Jodhpur & Mysore Lancers of Indian Army who were part of the 15 Imperial Service Cavalry Brigade, which carried out the victorious assault on the city of Haifa on Sep 23, 1918, during World War-I.

He informed that the total cost of the project is 20 lakh wherein replacement of all footpath with red stone and roundabout old stone replaced with Bullard stone. Shri Upadhyay feels happy to see that the work is going in full swing and thanks to the team NDMC for their tireless efforts to make NDMC a global bench-mark capital city.
