During the event, film publicist Shailesh Giri had an opportunity to interact with Swami Chinmayananda’s AI-powered avatar and posed an interesting question related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He asked, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had met you earlier as well. Did you have any idea at that time that he was so talented and would one day rise to such great heights and become the Prime Minister of India?”
The AI avatar responded with a thought-provoking answer:

The music launch and press conference also offered an insight into the making of Awakening, an ambitious musical biopic presented by Chinmaya Mission.
Directed by acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker and innovator Mani Shankar, the film has been creatively developed with significant contributions from AI expert and production designer Anjali Joshi.
Unlike a conventional biographical film, Awakening adopts a Broadway-style musical format, combining music, emotions, spectacular visuals and modern technology to portray Swami Chinmayananda’s spiritual transformation, pursuit of knowledge and lifelong dedication to humanity.
Speaking about the project, director Mani Shankar described the making of Awakening as a unique creative journey.
He explained that the intention was to take Swami Chinmayananda’s extraordinary life beyond the boundaries of traditional biographical storytelling and transform it into a distinctive cinematic experience that could connect with contemporary audiences while preserving the essence of his spiritual legacy.
Anjali Joshi, AI expert and production designer, highlighted the role of technology in shaping the film’s visual world. She explained that Artificial Intelligence and production design were integrated to enhance the storytelling experience without allowing technology to overshadow the emotional and spiritual essence of the narrative.
