PM Modi cancels Europe tour after ‘Operation Sindoor’

New Delhi, May 7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has canceled his Europe tour amid the air strikes carried out by the Indian Army on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and (PoK). Earlier, PM Modi has also canceled his Russia tour.

According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to visit Norway, Croatia and Netherlands, but he canceled his visit.

Earlier, PM Modi had decided not to attend the Victory Day celebrations to be held on May 9 in Russia. Russia confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the Victory Day celebrations to be held in Moscow on May 9.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during a media briefing, “India’s leaders will not come, although India will be represented.”

The army had given information about the air strike carried out late at night on X itself. After this, the government gave information about the target attack in the press briefing. It was told that the Indian Army carried out attacks in nine places – Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bahawalpur, Rawalkot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelam Valley, Jhelum and Chakwal. More than 70 terrorists were killed in these attacks, while more than 60 terrorists were injured.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri told about the air strike through a press conference that the targets were selected on the basis of reliable intelligence and its aim was to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure and disable the terrorists.

He said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ represents the country’s right to respond and prevent cross-border terrorism.

Sources said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was constantly monitoring the operation that lasted overnight. India attacked the bases in Pakistan and PoK from where terrorist attacks were being planned and executed. India said in the statement, “Our action was focused, balanced and non-controversial. Pakistani military facilities were not targeted. India showed great restraint in the selection of targets and the manner of action.”
