Delhi did not get mayor again, elections postponed for the third time after heavy opposition from AAP

New Delhi | Election of Mayor, Deputy Mayor for Municipal Corporation of Delhi postponed once again. As soon as the proceedings of the House started once again in the MCD House, the election was postponed due to uproar. The BJP corporator and the Aam Aadmi corporator came face to face and started shouting slogans and there was an uproar in the House. It was said by the Presiding Officer in the MCD House that Alderman i.e. Nominated Councilors can hold elections for Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee members i.e. vote which was strongly opposed by you Councilors. After that, an uproar started in the MCD House. After this the meeting was adjourned.

It is worth mentioning that before the process of election of Delhi Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Standing Committee members started in the MCD Sadan located at the Civic Center of Delhi, Presiding Officer Satya Sharma while addressing the House said that for the nominated Councilor (Alderman) Mayor, Can also elect for the deputy mayor and for the member of the standing committee. After this address by Satya Sharma, a ruckus started between the councilors of AAP and BJP and the presiding officer adjourned the House for the first 10 minutes. After that, AAP corporator and BJP corporator came face to face and started creating a ruckus. Then seeing the uproar again in the house, the house was adjourned till the next meeting.
