New Delhi, February 8. The results of the Delhi Assembly elections have come. After 27 years, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to form the government in the national capital Delhi. At the same time, the people of Delhi completely rejected the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the elections. BJP won 48 out of 70 seats in Delhi. Whereas, AAP had to be satisfied with only 22 seats. Not only this, the people of Delhi even defeated former CM Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the elections.
In such a situation, many reasons are being cited behind the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi Assembly elections. One factor in this is also being considered to be AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal.
Swati Maliwal has done the most to dent Kejriwal’s image. Swati Maliwal went to different areas of Delhi with a camera and exposed the plight of the national capital Delhi.
In fact, Swati Maliwal continuously went to different areas including Badli, Deoli Vikaspuri and did ground reporting during the assembly elections. She also kept sharing videos and pictures of the plight of Delhi on social media. She went from street to street and continuously raised her voice against the Delhi government regarding the heaps of garbage, dirty toilets in slums, overflowing sewers, supply of dirty water. Even just before the voting, she did not shy away from putting Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party government in the dock on the issue of Yamuna river.
On one hand, Arvind Kejriwal and all the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party kept accusing Haryana of mixing ‘poison’ in the Yamuna river. On the other hand, Swati Maliwal raised the issue of dirty water of Yamuna river in Delhi and also made strong verbal attacks on Kejriwal.
Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal raised her voice against the AAP government in a very controlled manner and brought the problems of the public in front of everyone. Throughout the election, Swati Maliwal kept raising the issue of filth spread in the city and the supply of dirty water to the houses on the ground and the ground prepared by her campaign helped the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to end the dominance of Arvind Kejriwal.
In such a situation, it is believed that Swati Maliwal of the Aam Aadmi Party, which ruled Delhi for 10 years, exposed the truth through ground reporting.
Apart from this, Swati Maliwal also accused Kejriwal’s former PA Bibhav Kumar of assault at the Chief Minister’s residence. After this, Swati Maliwal opened a front against her own Aam Aadmi Party government and Arvind Kejriwal. After the attack on herself, she sought support from many parties. She also wrote many letters, but no party supported Maliwal. Not only this, she also tried to give the message among the people of Delhi that the Aam Aadmi Party is anti-women.
Before the elections, Arvind Kejriwal probably realized that the people of Delhi are angry due to lack of work. He admitted that he could not provide clean water to the people of Delhi. He could not clean the garbage of Yamuna and could not build good roads. However, Kejriwal had promised during the election campaign that if the government is formed next time, he will complete all these works. But, the people of Delhi did not give Kejriwal another chance to form the government.
