Delhi: Prohibition on illegitimate recovery of the ambulance, fixing the maximum fare

New Delhi| The Delhi government has decided to fix a fixed fare for an ambulance service operated from Delhi. According to the Delhi government, strict action will be taken against the ambulance driver and owners if they are charged more than the fixed fare. The Delhi government has received several complaints that have revealed that ambulance drivers are charging a hefty amount from Corona patients.

Delhi residents struggling with Corona are also having to bear the brunt of the ambulances’ skyrocketing fares. There have been many such complaints in Delhi which have revealed that the rent of an ambulance is being charged thousands of rupees for just a few kilometers. To curb this, the Delhi government has fixed the fare of the ambulance service.

Giving this information, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that a fare of Rs. 1500 per 10 km will be charged for the Patient Transport Ambulance in Delhi. To go more than 10 kilometers, you have to pay 100 rupees per kilometer. At the same time, using the basic life support ambulance, you will have to pay 2000 rupees for the initial 10 km. After this, the ambulance will have to be paid at the rate of Rs 100 per kilometer.

The advance life support ambulance, including the doctor’s charge, has been fixed at Rs 4000 per 10 km. After 10 km, the fare for this ambulance service will also have to be paid at the rate of Rs 100 per km.

While fixing this fare, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that it has come to our notice that private ambulance services in Delhi are illegally charging the fare. To avoid this, the Delhi government has fixed the maximum prices that private ambulance services can take. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the order.
