Division of departments in Delhi: Rekha Gupta kept finance-revenue with herself, Pravesh Verma got PWD

New Delhi, February 20 . After the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP government in Delhi on Thursday, the division of departments among the ministers was done late in the evening. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has kept several major departments with herself, including finance, revenue and vigilance.

Rekha Gupta has kept finance, planning, general administration department (GAD), women and child development, services, revenue, land and building, information and public relations, vigilance and administrative reforms departments with herself. Along with this, she will also take charge of those departments which have not been allocated to anyone.

Apart from this, Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma has got PWD, legislative affairs, information and finance commission, water and gurudwara election departments. Ashish Sood has got the responsibility of Home, Electricity, Urban Development, Education, Higher Education, Training and Technical Education departments.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa has got the Industry, Food Supply, Forest and Environment and Planning departments. Ravindra Singh Indraj has been given the departments of Social Welfare, SC/ST Welfare, Corporation, Elections. Kapil Mishra has been given the responsibility of Law and Justice, Labor and Employment, Development, Art and Culture, Language and Tourism.

Along with this, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh has been given the departments of Health, Transport and Information Technology.

Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet colleagues at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states were also present on this occasion.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has returned to power in Delhi after 27 years. Rekha Gupta has become the fourth woman Chief Minister after Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi.

Rekha Gupta defeated Bandana Kumari of Aam Aadmi Party from Shalimar Bagh assembly seat by a margin of more than 29,000 votes.
