New Delhi | Apple has explained that the new silicone ear tips with the second generation AirPods Pro are not compatible with the older generation AirPods Pro. In a support document, the tech giant said that the original AirPods Pro ear tips have a “much denser mesh” than the second generation ear tips.
“The ear tips are specially designed for their AirPods Pro generation, to deliver the highest-fidelity audio experience,” the company said.
As a result, “use the ear tips that came with your AirPods Pro.”
Explaining the reason, the company said that the ear tips of AirPods Pro (1st generation) have a much denser mesh than the ear tips of Airpods Pro (2nd generation).

The problem that users will face is the proper fit in the ear with the old tips due to the dense mesh.
