New Delhi | Apple has explained that the new silicone ear tips with the second generation AirPods Pro are not compatible with the older generation AirPods Pro. In a support document, the tech giant said that the original AirPods Pro ear tips have a “much denser mesh” than the second generation ear tips.
“The ear tips are specially designed for their AirPods Pro generation, to deliver the highest-fidelity audio experience,” the company said.
As a result, “use the ear tips that came with your AirPods Pro.”
Explaining the reason, the company said that the ear tips of AirPods Pro (1st generation) have a much denser mesh than the ear tips of Airpods Pro (2nd generation).
The problem that users will face is the proper fit in the ear with the old tips due to the dense mesh.
With the new H2 chip, AirPods Pro, available at Rs 26,900 in India, offers an exceptional acoustic experience and has twice the noise cancellation as compared to the previous generation AirPods Pro.
This time around, a new extra small ear tip has been included so that even more people can experience the magic of AirPods Pro.
With the new low-distortion audio driver and custom amplifier, the AirPods Pro now delivers superior bass and crystal-clear sound across a wider range of frequencies.
As with touch controls on the AirPods Pro, a light swipe up or down on the stem enables quick volume adjustments.
The AirPods Pro offers up to a total of six hours of additional listening time with 1.5 hours of active noise cancellation compared to the first generation.
