Election Commission prohibits showing exit poll before 7:30 pm tomorrow

New Delhi| The Election Commission has banned the broadcasting of exit polls from TV channels and media institutions before 7.30 pm on Thursday. The Election Commission has issued guidelines in this regard. Actually, on 29 April, there is the eighth and final election of West Bengal. Elections to the other four states have already been settled. According to the directive of the Commission, media institutions can broadcast exit polls only after 7:30 pm in the last phase of voting in West Bengal. The Commission has said that legal action will be taken on broadcasting exit polls before the scheduled time.

The Election Commission of India has also given important instructions in view of the counting votes on 2 May. It is said that the candidates and their supporters cannot take out the procession. There will be no crowd around the counting venue. The candidate and his agent will be able to enter the counting center only after the RTPCR report.
