Prayagraj, October 6 . Meat and liquor will not be sold in the classical boundary of Prayagraj during Maha Kumbh 2025. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made this announcement on Sunday in Prayagraj in the presence of representatives and officials of all 13 akhadas, Khak-Chowk tradition, Dandibara tradition and Acharyabara tradition.
CM Yogi said that the Maha Kumbh is organized by the flag bearers of Sanatan Dharma under the direction of Akharas and various saint traditions. The state government is a partner in this and devotees coming from all over the world are guests.
He said that the whole world will encounter Sanatan Indian culture in the Maha Kumbh. The government is dedicated to the respect of Sanatan tradition. Respecting the sentiments of the entire Sanatan society including sadhus, saints, sanyasis, ascetics, it is necessary to ban the purchase and sale of meat and liquor in the classical boundary of Prayagraj.
The Chief Minister said that every saint and devotee coming to Maha Kumbh with the desire to take bath in the holy Triveni Sangam will get to see the uninterrupted and clean Ganga-Yamuna. Efforts are being made at the government level to ensure the cleanliness of the holy rivers, but the cooperation of the saints is also expected.
Chief Minister Yogi also said that land will soon be reserved in Prayagraj for the Samadhi of the saints who will attain salvation during the Maha Kumbh. The Chief Minister said that the progress of Sanatan society is possible only under the guidance of saints. Everyone will have to contribute to make Maha Kumbh 2025 even more grand than Kumbh 2019.
He said that, under the grace of saints and the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, today the whole world is seeing the new form of Ayodhya, Varanasi and Braj Dham.
Paying homage to the memory of Brahmalin Narendra Giri Ji Maharaj, Chief Minister Yogi said that today a corridor is also being constructed near the Lat Hue Hanuman Ji temple. He called upon all the saints to join the campaign of Swachh Mahakumbh and said that for the pledge of cleanliness, it would be appropriate for everyone not to use banned plastic.
On the demand of the Sant Samaj for a ban on cow slaughter, the Chief Minister said that cow slaughter is a crime in Uttar Pradesh. There is a provision of punishment up to life imprisonment against cow slaughter. Along with this, the state government is running more than seven thousand cow shelters, where more than 14 lakh cows are protected.
Through various schemes, common people have also been connected to cow service. The cooperation of the Sant Samaj is expected in taking forward this service work of cow protection. It would be absolutely appropriate that cow protection sites are developed in all the ashrams. There should be cow service in every ashram.
Giving top priority to security in the Mahakumbh, the Chief Minister requested all the saints, sanyasis, acharyas not to allow anyone to stay in their ashrams until they are duly verified.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with the Sant Samaj in the Mahakumbh Mela area. Amidst Vedic chanting and the slogan of Sanatan Dharma, Chief Minister Yogi greeted all the saints, sages and acharyas by wearing Angavastra. A short film regarding the management and arrangements of Mahakumbh 2025 was also presented in front of the saints.
Representatives of Akharas and various saint traditions thanked Chief Minister Yogi in one voice and said that today there is tension all over the world. One country is eager to go to war with another country. Mahakumbh-2025 to be organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi will give a message of peace to the whole world. The entire saint community is eager to contribute to it. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is the protector of the Sanatan Dharma flag, under whose leadership the Sanatan society is feeling proud today.
The saints said that CM Yogi is the first Chief Minister who is directly communicating with the saints and acharyas about the Maha Kumbh and is listening to their problems and suggestions and recording them. This opportunity is incomparable for the saints and acharyas. The representatives of the Akharas also expected good arrangements for the security of the saint community.
The saints expressed satisfaction over the preparations for Maha Kumbh-2025. Also said that looking at the preparations going on in the fair area, it is clear that Maha Kumbh-2025 will be more grand and divine than all the Ardh Kumbh/Mahakumbh held earlier in Prayagraj.
